( for asato, his confidence and self-assuredness is entirely situational. were they deep within the forests of sisa, confronting one another in the context of a fight, he would be an entirely different cat from the one mika sees tangled up in the tube right now. focused, keen, dangerous... everything he is currently not. sometimes the dark-furred cat does seem like two entirely different people, a switch in his brain triggering a stark change from one mode to another when certain conditions are met.
mika is not meeting those conditions, however, and that's definitely for the best. asato would not want to feel threatened in this kind of thorny situation — well, not any more than he already is. he struggles a little, but trying to brute-force his way out of this would probably run the risk of dislocating his shoulder or injuring him in some other way. he frowns, looking embarrassed and defeated. )
