Adjusting to this world had been more difficult than Jaune had anticipated. It was fine at first. Most of his friends were here and he was reassured that with the way time worked here their world would in fact still be there when they got back.
However things began to get rough. It was like it wouldn't allow him to forget Pyrrha. Arriving in this world's autumn was a little painful, but he could ignore that. What he couldn't ignore was seeing Pyrrha inside of a spring, a nasty trick by some of the forces here. That's when Ren decided to tell him that the dead returning was possible.
It had hurt. Every hint of red in a crowd could have been her and he had to look to be sure. Every time just wondering if one day he'd wake up and she'd be there. Something Jaune had given up on in Remnant for obvious reasons.
Jaune was just going about his day to day. Grabbing some groceries and heading back home. However he stopped dead in his tracks when at first he spotted red hair as he usually did. He was expecting disappointment again, but as she came into view he saw it was really her.
He dropped the groceries and ran towards her "Pyrrha!" He'd stop just short of her. There was some caution and some disbelief he couldn't shake off. "Is that... really you?"
For Pyrrha's part she'd likely notice the changes Jaune had undergone. He was a bit bigger now, having outgrown the armor she had last seen him in, and there was a very familiar sash tied around his hips.
