Well it wasn't like it was going to get Snake that much wetter even if Snake gave that much of a damn about that sort of thing, but it did feel good. More than he'd have expected.

Not just in the warm, comfortable familiarity of it in the sea of nonsense going on around them, but maybe that was the stress of everything talking.

As much as Snake played it off and genuinely didn't quite understand how to handle certain emotions, Snake did care and that love was grounding for him in a lot of ways. Wasn't like anyone was watching, so he might as well hold Otacon for as long as either of them needed it.
