I can understand that. I think people lose memories from trauma a lot.

[Not that she's a psychology expert or anything, but that's a pretty well-known phenomenon... assuming it's not one of those pieces of common knowledge that are actually completely off base.]

But on some level, I think your heart still has those memories. So it's going to try and get them back regardless.
