Is this his way of telling her she smells?
Is he saying she doesn't eat enough?

She spends a good deal of time sniffing the perfume before she has to research how to wear it and then afterwards... it's constantly in her hair, against her neck, and atop the underside of her wrists.

A few days after, she sends him a note in return.

"Why not come help me eat these. You can tell me if you like the perfume on me."
