Character: Hoshimori Shunji ('Shun' if you feel like gambling with your life, otherwise it's Hoshimori-san to you.)

See that face? That's the face of a man who is Fine and Does Good Things. Shunji is an escaped lab experiment in a dystopian cyberpunk world who's had a really rough time of it, none of which excuses what a fucking terrible person he is. He's essentially an irreverent, deeply manipulative adrenaline junkie with no functioning sense of empathy and coasts off the fact he literally can't die. Think Deadpool levels of just cannot be killed. Existential depression has given way to nihilistic glee.

His only redeeming quality is his subordinate, Basti. ("but liv, another person isn't a personality trait..." did i stutter???) Basti is a genuinely good person and deserves better than Shunji but they became codependent together when they were both young and impressionable and now it's too late. They used to run the criminal underworld together and then Shunji decided to go legitimate so Basti wouldn't be in quite as much danger all the time since Basti can actually die. They're actually husbands but they're both in denial.

In his original setting he was an incredibly corrupt chief of police who was just as likely to sip a margarita while the city burned than to actually lend a hand. He's primarily motivated by doing things that amuse him, most of which involve someone bleeding, and making sure Basti has a nice life with all the creature comforts.
