Unfortunately, it isn't very far into the maze that they manage to spring one of the tilt-o'-whirl traps, which sends the platform spinning around and Duo's braid whipping.
A basic understanding of physics sends him hunkering to the ground to maintain his center of gravity, and a basic understand of mazes readies him to make a jump for it! ]
