[ ... Why does he seem so emotional? Is Xichen usually this emotional? He's certainly more open about his feelings than Mingjue, sure.

Something's going on. He can't help but feel like he's missing a lot.

Or maybe this was about the Moonblessed thing he'd heard about. Or maybe he was paranoid and this was just Xichen being Xichen.

Mingjue nods after a moment and quickly does the math, the time Xichen claims to have been here versus the last thing Mingjue remembers of home. ]

What have I missed?
