Poor guy. She's met people here from much further back from herself, from worlds with little technology. It's not a matter of being able to wrap your head around all this but even being capable of it.

"You're taking this remarkably well." She comments with a small nod. "If we're from the same place I'd say... ah, Sengoku Period? Give or take five hundred years, that's all. 'fraid I'm not familiar with Ashina, but it could be it was swallowed by war or it's been renamed."

Jill remains light about it because it is so heavy. Serious, but her tone of voice offers some reassurance. She tilts her head toward nothing in particular and looks animated, despite her volume dropping.

"I can't say. She seems to be a little eccentric. Been looking into the government for a while." Peering to the side without any weight to her gaze, she makes a soft sound. "You got a name? Or something you prefer to be called?"
