Their skin has a strange, rubbery smoothness to it-- more similar to a dolphin. And yet, it's iridescent: violet in low light, but reflects pink. The texture of their hair is very soft, somehow reminiscent of seaweed as well. ]

I am. There are various mer tribes on my continent. Mine in particular has this kind of coloring. They say though that my family in particular drew its lineage from sea elves, some generations ago. But I've never seen proof of it.
