Maybe I can take a shot and re-read with the new translations (I'm not sure where it's currently at though). Because he deserves to live damnit, he deserves a chance to be happy and do things for himself.

Oh yes! That would be so helpful. I tried to search on my own, but it seems just googling "Snake man" gets nowhere.

I saw one piece of fan art I really liked though haven't tracked down the artist or similar.

okay so i sat down to look for a few today that might work, some with fewer edits, some where you might want to sub in eye colour but here we go!

my top pick personally is:

chang feng juan, for one of the leading characters, who is! in fact a dragon who cultivated his way to where he is now. i like his paleness, the green to his forehead, you could tweak his eyes to be gold versus yellow (or i could, etcetc) and he has a general softer nature to him that i feel might fit hissy well.

bian hua! this guy is much more of a goof and a flirt, but he's also the ml, so there's a lot of him in various expressions. his eyes come gold, his hair comes long, and his clothes are yellow and black as you can see.

human face peach blossom is a literal translation BUT! also a ml, i'd pick another colour for robes and his eyes, could change his forehead dot, but he has a range of expression, a pale complexion, and a softness that seems to suit hissy?

the concubine is the n... okay so this is another literal translation of a name if i give it, but again, a ml! more solemn as a whole but he smiles, he drinks, HE WOULD NEED an eye colour change but his robes are dark as it is and he has a great expression range overall.

If I remember right I don't think his human eyes are ever mentioned to have a particular color so I'm not picky. So path of easiest is always ok.
