So, you might be wondering: what in the world is Kokoro Connect?
It's a series of light novels - which, by the way, all the main story up to volume 10 are officially published digitally on J-Novel Club - about a series of rather unlikely friends that wind up in what is essentially jamjar events (i.e: body swapping, deaging, etc).
If you like things like the Haruhi Suzumiya series or Your Name, I highly recommend it! The plot itself deals with the psychological aspects of the supernatural and how they would affect everyone's day to day lifes as well as the strength of bonds.
As for the characters -
Taichi Yaegashi is a prowrestling otaku who has specific issues dealing with his ego; he is selfless the the point where it's practically selfless. He's willing to throw himself in front of others if it means he can save them. Basically, he's the kind of person who wants to become a 'hero' to everyone else.
Iori Nagase is your stereotypical bubbly, high energy girl... or at least, that's how she wants to present herself. Except she has 99 problems and the fact that she wears 'masks' to please other people is one of them. Of course, this issue is something that she winds up dealing with and fixing in later volumes, but I won't spoil what happens with her there!
Yui Kiriyama suffers from androphobia due to an incident that happened in middle school. She loves cute things and can kick your ass, as a black belt karate girl.
Aoki Yoshifumi is Average and the Funny guy. He's pretty plain, but balances the group out pretty well.
As for the kouhai - Chihiro is also a karate guy and is a bit socially awkward to the point as almost coming off as cold. And Shino has a bit of a voice kink for Specific Kinds of voices.
But then there's Fujishima Maiko who is like - the canon bisexual in the series! She is the self-proclaimed 'Love God' who likes to put people together and support others, which makes her pretty much perfect for Prisma, tbh. She also has a real good dynamic with Inaba, I'm super biased.
