[ Shino's equally invested in making sure this ribbon has equal lengths on either side of the knot. Perfectionism in odd tasks, or in ones that tie back to habits he formed in his childhood. He only uses his finger to keep pressure once it seems like Ren's satisfied, which more or less coincides with his own inclinations. ]
Are you?
[ He asks, finding all that's said is possible, but not sure if tying people to things is all that great. Why be tied to a place? Usually you are regardless of your own wishes, based on the good or bad that's occurred to you in that place. Connecting here... he probably should have asked what the foxes were initially in the city for, and why the Queen (he's fairly sure people have mentioned a Queen) is related, since who else would be a symbolic tie to this city?
Or maybe it's about tying themselves to their roots. Who knows. He certainly doesn't. All his links are to people; ones hidden in his roots, which he suspects is true, and those who are obvious. Sousuke, Hamaji, and with weighted significance, Rio Satomi. The rest of those they've met in the capitol, and then back home, the priests who they'd been living with the last five years. ]

[ He says, pulling his hand away (his right hand) when Ren goes to tie them off properly. His hand brushes up against Ren's, angling in such a way that he finds himself catching and holding on. With a blink, Shino goes to let go, but it's as if there's some invisible tie between them that makes his hand stay touching the other guy's hand. What the heck? He frowns, tugging back... and technically tugging Ren toward him, which for a shorter guy, comes across with surprising (or perhaps not, given the arm bird) strength. ]
What the hell?
[ He's not blaming Ren, but, why isn't he able to give the other guy some space?! ]
