As the scientists looked at them confused at first, Yu had pipped in his own little footnote to Kanji's speech. "We're known to have carbon in our bodies, not...chroma. I don't think I've heard of that before--"
Then it went on to the reason why they were there, and he was rather proud of how Kanji went at it, but even Yu's usual calmless became different as they went on about touching and kissing and - oh my this was certainly different. That explained a lot.
And yet, so little.
Something he was noticing more and more, however was this place didn't seem to be very prudish when it came to that stuff. Yu was used to the Japanese way of it, which was barely talked about at all. They were just having casual sex talks right out in the open, details he didn't really need to know. And then Kanji's eyes were on him, and Yu realized he needed to be a leader. Despite how his own internal voice was just scream at how utterly weird and bizarre it was. At the...very least it meant they didn't have to do anything neither of them would want to do.
He took a deep breathe and then briefly went over to pinch Kanji on the arm.
"I don't think we're dreaming, Kanji. Unless you're in my dream..."
And sure, Yu had bizarre dreams, but this was a little too weird even for him.
"I think this is real."
"Perhaps the both of you need a hot meal and a shower," one of the scientists offered. Yu looked back at Kanji. For all the insanity that this all was turning out to be, Yu didn't feel like these people were trying to lie to them.

"Maybe eating something will help?"
