What very quick scanning she was able to get away with on her visor in the scientist's labs, and what information they were willing to give her (which was, surprisingly, a lot--they seemed very keen on the pursuit of knowledge which she could appreciate in one breath and be wary of in another) indicated a fair amount of these Moonblessed were natives of Earth. Not just colonies, but Earth itself.]
Haven't been to Earth in a long time. [She looks a bit wistful, if opaque green visors can look very wistful, perhaps in the way her helmet cants away from him in thought.]
I did some of my military training there and then set off on my own. I wasn't a fan of the red tape and bureaucratic idiocy. [Only part of her reasons but as far as thoughtful ruminations go that's all he gets for now. She doesn't miss it.]
I can't imagine that's changed much since. [Enlighten her, please. She loves feeling vindicated for awful reasons like she shouldn't expect anything less.]
