He just stared at her. Just to be sure, he had to swallow again to make sure his heart would keep from jumping up into his mouth. For all that people liked to talk about how different they were- and they definitely were in many ways- there were times like this that made him endlessly glad they met and were friends. Because goddamn... she gets it.
"THAT! All that! Ya say it way better than I could. Shit, makin' friends is intimidating enough as it is before ya think about bein'... v-vulnerable..." Which. Left him eternally thankful he'd stormed out in his gown. There were some things you didn't want to just spring on your friends.
He looked away awkwardly. There was something nice about being so candid, but here wasn't the place for it. But he nodded as she led the way away from the rooms.
"...Aw, man... fine print's blurrier than it used to be a few months ago. If they got some place that'll fix glasses, that wouldn't be a bad plan, neither."
