Kanji watched the pegasus closely. It was definitely pissed off, and could easily outrun the both of them. Protein packs sounded gross, but if he found some actual food, then he had to settle for that as a potential back-up. There was probably not a whole lot of it to go around with no sign of civilization.

"Wait... hold on a sec! This pegasus has to eat too, tight?" He jabbed a finger toward the creature, who was gearing up to start a fight, kicking up dust.

"Like horses! Grass, carrots and roots and stuff. Possible food we can make use of too! Right? And it has to need water, and there's always fish in big bodies of water or rivers!"
