His eyes flick briefly to the missing arm, lingering a moment, but he doesn't ask.
"Even if they weren't expecting us, that doesn't appear to be stopping them from trying to take advantage. Regardless, we shouldn't wait around for them to decide how benevolent they're going to be while they've got us locked up."
He shakes his head, a strange, humorless laugh rising and dying quickly. "I never thought I would ever prefer demons to anything, but I would rather a hole in the sky with demons pouring through than being anyone's slave ever again."
