Oh he won't deny that it's odd staring back at his own face. Sora wears such different expressions than he does. He's as open as Vanitas is closed off. Looking at Sora, one can definitely tell what he's thinking and read him so easily. Vanitas contrasts that almost perfectly. Most of the time he's actually calm and collected, rarely giving away what he's thinking.

There are exceptions of course. Usually anything involving Ventus sort of makes Vanitas lose his cool.

"I did say something like that, didn't I?" Vanitas muses, half surprised that Sora had been paying attention. "So yes, I suppose I do need you. Out of self preservation."
