[Ah, there's the expected response. More valuable data that indeed, this was the cure, momentary or otherwise. It remained to be seen if there would be any residual effects, but in the short term, this appeared to be at least one solution.

Yaha-kui zaShunina allows the man his retreat without pursuit, content to silently confirm the results of his theory as he watches Jakob stand on his own two feet. His hands remain awkwardly hovering as though still supporting him, as if the prospect of moving them hasn't quite occurred to him yet.]


Physical contact has been observed to counteract the venom of the insect that had bitten you. [He explains, lifting the hand with which he'd caressed Jakob's face as he explains.] Direct skin contact appears to be more effective. [His lips draw into a smile that was surely intended to be warm and reassuring, but it doesn't reach his eyes--the unnatural smile of a being who is unused to using his face to express himself, and so it's just off by the slightest amount.]

I simply administered treatment.
