The thing that really got me with 5 is that playing it kind of really shows the seams of where cuts were forced by Konami demanding ps3 compatibility from it. So it's really easy to mourn the potential of what could have been. admittedly I'd have easily been satisfied by like another 50-60 audio tapes about goofy bullshit happening around base like in peace walker.

I'm glad I was around for mr. Kojima's new wild ride.



On the one hand it's good for Legosi to go at his own pace, on the other I suspect one day Haru might just end up tying him up and riding him like she stole him out of pure frustration.

I imagine it'll be an interesting learning curve just for Legosi to get used an environment where most people don't have any intrinsic concerns about being around carnivores. Let alone all the casual sexuality going on.

yeah....... i've heard 5 was kind of a mess, because of that and plenty of other reasons. it's kind of a miracle anything was produced at all, considering how konami and kojima were at the time. BUT YEAH... i actually have death stranding, but i've barely started it. been too busy with other stuff!! i do want to play more though because it is HELLA my aesthetic

SHE'S SUCH A SAINT FOR BEING SO PATIENT WITH HIM? he doesn't deserve her tbh. i was laughing and joking at the part where they were concerned over anatomical differences im just like ... haru honestly at this point just peg him ... we're not getting anywhere with him trying to call the shots LOL

but yeah, you're right! tbh there's plenty of casual sexuality in beastars, so that's not too odd for him, but... im just imagining him puzzling for weeks over whether or not humans are technically herbivores or carnivores (they can eat meat...! but they don't have sharp teeth or claws? what the fuck honestly?)

I actually played Survive as well (has a fucking amazing opening sequence, but a proportionally terrible, outright goofy ending.)
I absolutely loved Death Stranding, 100% understand why opinions were so completely split on it, but ultimately it gave me what I needed it to so I'm like 9/10, Kojima continues to be way too on the money about the fan base's kinks.


I do think Haru enjoys a degree of simply being able to be treated as an equal and cared about without needing to use sexuality to force that equality, but leaving Legosi to set the pace will make it take a literal eternity. If she was strong enough to push him down he'd be in 'trouble.'


Ocelot would probably be able to explain it (the whole carnivore/herbivore/omnivore and where humans stand on it thing) pretty extensively if Legosi wanted, though mostly from the perspective of a dude with more than casual knowledge about a shit load of animals in addition to knowing a whole lot about human bodies. (Though it'd be in terms of our world, where plenty of herbivore can and do eat meat and many species of carnivore can't survive without it.)

i disagree with the man on a lot of things but i am susceptible as any to kojima's bullshit u_u i hope i can scrape together some time at some point (maybe during holidays) to sink some hours into the death stranding...

someone needing to explain to legosi what the terms "omnivore" and "vegetarian" mean... since he's still not going to eat meat here LOL. AND YEAH, there are actually instances of herbivores (and hybrids) eating meat in beastars, and legosi's mentor was a panda bear (a carnivore adapted to only eat plants) so... it's all in there. nodding

I get Legosi's trying to be responsible and not progress the relationship unless he can genuinely provide a life for her, but it's not like he'd be taking her first kiss or anything.


yeah but they don't particularly enjoy the meat (outside of things like benefits of hyperdrugs and such,) vs irl where if you put out meat near your trail cam to attract carnivores, at least half the animals that show up and eat it will be opportunistic herbivores.

I do wonder if there's any simply outright curious herbivores that'll try it, rather than going through convoluted processes like Yafya does.

The real barrel of worms topic: the source of the meat sold here in Lunatica and what most people are thinking of when discussing animals.

And now that I've typed all that I abruptly remember I had Ocelot carrying dried venison to give stray cats and dogs, that's a conversation starter right there.
