QUESTIONS MEME

THE QUESTIONS MEME
A first big 'n successful round of apps has concluded and the game is getting off to a roll - since there are always brains to be picked and new pals and acquaintances to be made, how's about we all play a little getting-to-know-you game?
HOW TO PLAY:
• Leave a comment below with your name and the characters who you play.
• Respond to others' comments with questions - they can be about their characters, their current in-game plans or things they'd like to play, their CR, RP in general, their canons and fandoms, or most anything else.
• Answer questions you've received! Keep it short or TL;DR to your heart's content, depending on how much you have or are in the mood to say!
• After each answer you give, ask a question back to the person who answered you. Keep the thread of questioning up for as long as both parties are game!
• Go for it - make friends, make new plans, make anything you like!

EDIT: You know, I should follow the rules of this meme and ask you questions too! So, what's something that drew you to pick up Engie and continue playing him even now?

Unfortunately, RPing him was one of those make-an-account-and-forget-about-it-a-week-later kind of things, but it also coincided with the fact that I stopped playing Team Fortress around then too.
Then last year I caught up to the supplemental comics (which have a BIG running storyline going on rn) that I got REALLY into. So I picked up TF2 again and caught up with all the updates and stuff and remembered how much I loved it. I was initially thinking of picking up a different character, but then I revived my Engie account and remembered how much I enjoyed actually playing him. Then I met a couple people who still RPed from it (it was crazy RP popular back in, like, 2010) and it took off from there!

Uh what's your favorite Phoenix Write pun, what's your favorite pun in general and if you could play Gumshoooo off anyone else, who would it be and why is it not John Spartan.
no subject
- Yes, I am aware of his French name, and I adore it.
- Ooh, let's see... I think my favorite pun name would be Luke Atmey. I also have to appreciate the classic, original "Mr. Sahwit? Or should I say... Mr. Did It!" I cannot pick a single overall general favorite pun.
- In terms of canonmates, Maggey Byrde and Tyell Badd are the pipe dreams of characters I'd want to play him off of. In terms of cross-canon, I've really liked the idea of playing him off of Brooklyn 99 characters. I think he'd fit in very well with them!
- Because I don't know who John Spartan is. But it is a cool-sounding name!
Okay, I should ask you a question. Hmmm... What's one thing you're looking forward to doing with Ren in the game? (As long as it doesn't involve P5 endgame spoilers! I'm... still working my way through it)

- I'm glad cause that's the games I've played it took forever for me to use Miles Edgeworth I kept writing Benjamin Hunter but I think I've told you that before or someone else ANYWAY.
- YES that is a good one.
- Also holy shit he would be especially bffs with Hitchcock and Scully you are right...
- He's from Demolition Man aka my favorite non-brain movie from the 1990s. It's a 1990s cop (Stallone) getting frozen from a crime he didn't comic and waking up in the future. If you've ever heard of the three seashells bathroom joke, or all restaurants becoming taco bells, it comes from that movie. Also this.
I LOOK FORWARD FOR HIM TO DO THIEVING STUFF AND BEING A GENTLEMAN THIEF sorry Gumshoe...
If you could give him a super power what horrible thing would you unleash on Gumshoe?
no subject
-lol yes he'd fit in well with them
-Ahhh yeah I've vaguely heard of that movie, if not those jokes!
IT'S OKAY I guess it'll give him some work to do??
Okay that's a tough one. It would have to be something mundane, and it can't be too useful or make his life too easy. Like, maybe the ability to teleport two feet at a time?
What's... your favorite Persona, in terms of the beings themselves rather than the games?
no subject
He will totally give him some work.
ALSO I LOVE IT. That's like being able to hover an inch about the ground and nothing more levels of evil.
If we go by designs only, it's definitely Arsene (actually in Personality only). I'm gonna recopy this answer, I hope that's okay: Arsene partly because he was designed to be Mesphisto at first (you can tell from the red and overall design, and the little hornlike things that form his mask) so you've got a beautiful combo of damper demon gentleman thief and the wings just look so perfect.
ALSO I LOVE Hades from Persona 2 as a very close second (I keep switching between both honestly and he was top tier before P5 came around) because of how ridiculous he looks but all the symbolism crammed in him? The pomegranate wedding dress? The three headed bouquet? The overall Visual Kei-inspired aesthetic it's just so goofy and yet somehow works well. Also he's Eikichi's Persona. Also he speaks like Vincent Prince in the english dub.
Third (this one is a bonus so I just don't c+p) Satan from Persona 1 has such a badass unique design. Don't get my wrong, I love the 6 breasted version that's used in both SMT and Persona now but I did love how Persona 1 just completely attempted to redesign all of the demons into brand new looking Personas
EDIT: QUESTION: What are some of your hopefuly plans with Gumshoe in the game?
no subject
And ooh, those all sounds like neat choices! I have to delve more into Persona, but it's cool to learn all these details about them! I'm glad there's a Vincent Prince-sounding persona.
Some loose plans include him trying to join the Moon Knights, finding things to investigate and growing as a person while sorting out conflict with Edgeworth!

Okay, now what to ask in turn... did L'arachel's horse come with her?

The series consists of the original trilogy (starring Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey), the latter three games (which shift around the protagonists), two prosecutor-based spin-off games, a Professor Layton crossover game and two spin-off games set in old school Japan that might never get localized. The original trilogy is actually getting rereleased for a number of platforms next month!
From a Dangan Ronpa perspective, it does have similarities in consisting of investigation and trial phases in which the player collects evidence and uses it to contradict others' testimonies. But Ace Attorney has the gameplay in its simplest form - without minigames and time limits. In terms of story, it's relatively more light-hearted, too - there's still murders and sadness, but most of the games' main casts have plot armor keeping them from being the victims (with one notable exception very early in the series). I probably got a bit too tl;dr there but I hope that's a satisfactory explanation!
