A first big 'n successful round of apps has concluded and the game is getting off to a roll - since there are always brains to be picked and new pals and acquaintances to be made, how's about we all play a little getting-to-know-you game?

I think it might be the fact that someone, somewhere in the universe keeps funding Lando Calrissian's mad industry schemes. Seriously how does he keep getting backers? That or Dumb Darth Names.

What's the weirdest thing to you about how things changed between ATLA and LoK? Like, how crazy the setting shifts were.

I think I pushed the bug sex orgies out of my mind in favor of shit like I BID YOU DARK GREETINGS that's really goofy and campy.

Anyway I actually did Avatar wrong because somehow I missed out on ATLA when I was a kid and ended up watching Legend of Korra first?? And then a friend streamed ATLA for me. Though looking at things as a whole, I actually really liked the setting shift all around, though? It's neat to see a series that actually bothers to have its fantasy land go through an industrial revolution and hit the technological equivalent of the late 19th/early 20th century in the real world. There are way too many series that have technology in some kind of stasis where they never progress beyond medieval times or just kind of have magic die as technology progresses.

So yeah! I guess if I had to pick a weirdness bit I have to wonder, like, where did the Earth King go wrong, I thought he learned...

Anyway have you ever watched a series out of order like that?

I have done that, too! I watched ATLA and I'm only in Season 2 of LoK (Shameful I know) but I managed to do Harry Potter completely out of order, starting in Prisoner of Azkhaban. And I also watched all the MCU Netflix shows completely out of order. I started with Luke Cage.

And I don’t blame you for getting stuck in season 2 of Legend of Korra because even though “Legend of Korra is good actually” is a hill I will die on woof is S2 rough. Like it has some good stuff I really like and I like how the later seasons build off it, but it is a goddamned mess especially when it comes to Mako and Bolin’s story arcs. Fortunately S3 is some good-ass television and very much worth powering through S2 for.

God Harry Potter out of order sounds like a fun ride actually.
