A first big 'n successful round of apps has concluded and the game is getting off to a roll - since there are always brains to be picked and new pals and acquaintances to be made, how's about we all play a little getting-to-know-you game?

I play Vanitas from The Case Study of Vanitas (inabluemoon) and Nagito Komaeda from Danganronpa (hopefanatic).

Do you have a second favourite DR character? If so, WHO AND WHY?

( Also I just want to say that I'm super excited to see Vanitas. )

My second favorite is Togami! He was my first for a long time until Komaeda came along. Honestly I don't have some deep reason, I just find him to be really fun as a character and his sass is the best.

(Oh man Vanitas just barely avoids being less of a disaster than Komaeda. But not by much)

How long have you roleplayed from Hetalia for? Either Germany or in general!

To be fair Togami's sass level is off the charts and I love it.

I've played from Hetalia for far longer than I care to admit, but there was a really long break from it before I started playing Germany in 2013. I started out playing France though I couldn't tell you why, I honestly have no idea.

Did you also enjoy Pandora Hearts or are you just a Vanitas fan?

I love my sassy heir. I love when Komaeda gets sassy too so... I have a type.

And yes I did! I read Pandora Hearts since it first started coming out and I still haven't gotten over the ending. As soon as I heard Mochijun was working on a new series and saw art of Vanitas I knew I'd love him.

So I'm guessing you read Pandora Hearts? And if so who was your favorite character?

It's okay, haha, we all have types I think.

I haven't even been able to bring myself to read the ending of Pandora Hearts, even though I know what to expect. I think mostly because Gilbert is my boy and I weep for him, I played him quite a while back too.

Which characters were your favourites?

Haha I know someone else like that, he still hasn't read the end either. But I had to know. I figured it couldn't break my heart more than it already had...

But Gilbert is a very very good boy. ;; Leo was definitely my son and I played him for a while, too! Although honestly I loved all of the Baskervilles.

What are other fandoms you're in?

Oh gosh, the Baskervilles are great too, ugh!

In terms of other series I'm very partial to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, My Hero Academia, Kill La Kill and anything that Ikuhara has a hand in (i.e. Utena, Penguin Drum). I really love a lot of shounen garbage, tbh.

What about you?

I had a lot of feelings about all of them.

I wind up liking lots of obscure-ish series (Pandora Hearts, Case Study of Vanitas, DOLLS, etc.), but then I'm also into some bigger ones like D.Gray-Man and Danganronpa. I mostly like stuff with dramatic and detailed art and lots of mindfuckery.

hMMM I'm so bad at questions I'm sorry Are you thinking of possibly playing another character in Prisma eventually?

I'm just now finishing DR2, so I should have included that too, haha. I was putting it off for a long time because I have too many games to play.

Playing another character, though, I've honestly thought about it already because I'm having a lot of fun. It's been a long time since I was in a game, so it's fun having a structured environment to play in and get a chance to make cross canon CR. I was going to tag Vanitas but Italy got to him first, so I'll have to get him next time around!

It's totally okay, I'm having a hard time with questions too? LIKE WHAT CAN I ASK THAT ISN'T BORING?? You already have 2 characters here, so are you thinking of bringing anyone else in or just wait it out and see how it goes?

Haha I didn't know there was a race for my horrible Frenchman. I'm definitely planning a network post for him eventually so maybe then or I'll find a place to hit Germany up first!

I have a character who I've tentatively considered, but I would definitely wait for another couple app rounds before TDM-ing him. I don't want to charge in too fast and then get in over my head haha

I do have both a plurk and a discord and I am always good for people to add me! I talk about work a lot on my plurk, but I also do plotting and tag commentary more now that I’m in a game again. Plurk is doitsun and I’m doitsun#7605 @ discord!

How did you get into Danganronpa and what made you decide to play Nagito?

I don't remember exactly because it was years ago, but I'm fairly certain I saw some of the character designs and was intrigued by them. I'm a sucker for unique character designs and gore haha

As for what made me want to play Nagito. He's a character who I've found very interesting and liked a lot since I first played the second game. I've always wanted to RP him somewhere but was very intimidated by the fandom and trying to do him justice. I recently rewatched the DR3 anime and remembered how much I liked him and then replayed SDR2 and basically went "Well let's see??". I'm still.... Really intimidated though.

How did you get into Persona?

What kind of cr are you looking forward to for vanitas? Are you hoping to get any castmates for nagito or vanitas, and if so who?

I definitely am hoping for either a) vampires or b) anyone who is pushy and would try to get him to open up more and bring out his inner tsundere. There are already some great Dangans here that have some drama brewing for Nagito but I would never say no to more. For Vanitas... Man, anyone. Obviously Noé would be super fun and I think he'd do well in the setting but I am thirsty and would welcome anything.

(I'm so surprised so many people know it!! I've had this account sitting around for years but recently did a canon review and dusted it off.)

Are there any other castmates you're hoping for? Or CR (with castmates or otherwise)?

Vampires are always a great hope, but then again I always look forward to vamps. On the other hand it would be a lot of fun to see someone push vanitas that way! Haha I could only imagine the dangan drama that will ensue, I’m definitely looking forward to it since I really enjoy a lot of the characters in the series and like the possibility of all the mingling. Noé would do so great! I hope one comes along because I just love how excitable he is.

(I love the series, I def need to catch up instead of just letting all the chapters just sit in my kindle library. It had been such a good series to get into after Pandora hearts ended and it even had vampires, a grand bonus!)

I don’t know if there’s anyone specifically I’m looking forward to for castmates, fans of the series always seem pretty scarce so I’m always excited just to see anyone else. Though a part of me really hoped for a Romania some day, he is a fun guy in general! As for cr, I hope to having fun with awkward situations both with castmates and cross-canon cr! Along those same lines, probably for Italy to get pushed from his comfort zone since he tends to be strangely naive in a lot of ways.

Same haha. Yeah I find Vanitas' aversion to getting close to people really interesting and I really would like to get to explore it with different cr! Oh yeah 2/4 of our Dangan cast are already plotting to kill one another so... it's going great so far haha. And exactly! I think Noé would be super into the setting and it would be cute ;;

(You definitely should catch up so I have someone to weep with. And yes when I heard the new series had French vampires with a steampunk aesthetic I knew it would own my soul.)

Well I feel like the game could definitely lead to lots of interesting awkwardness, especially if there are even more wild events down the line! And while I'm pretty canonblind on some of the other fandoms here I think that there's definitely a good variety to help get Italy pushed a little. Vanitas is also good for that in some respects.

Oh man, that's going to be an exciting adventure! It's going to be interesting to see how outside characters react to the dangan shenanigans. And Noé would be so cute in this setting, I can only hope one shows up just to see.

(Very much the same, the combo just spoke to me and I knew it was going to be an adventure. I'll have more of an excuse to charge up my ipad and take it to work with me now)

I'm sure Vanitas would be good for that in some respects, hopefully they could push each other. This is honestly part of the reason why I went with the sanguis moonblessing first, cordis and iris felt more along the lines of Italy's normal nature so sanguis seemed like a little more of a challenge.

Oooh that makes sense, a good reason to mix things up and try something new! Vanitas is already unpredictable and can be volatile but I figured Sanguis would be a good way to play with that even more, so I get what you mean.
