THE QUESTIONS MEME

A first big 'n successful round of apps has concluded and the game is getting off to a roll - since there are always brains to be picked and new pals and acquaintances to be made, how's about we all play a little getting-to-know-you game?

HOW TO PLAY:

the graphic design I have several friends on my plurk list that were excited about the TDM and their apps, so I checked it out and decided I'd like to be in on the ground floor, so to speak.

Longer than I thought, honestly, because I was thinking about it after I made that relative newbie comment (because I play with a lot of people who've been in LJRP/DWRP for 10+ years, hence the "relative") and I realised I'm coming up on four years here myself, so. Whoops. I'm definitely no longer actually new, but I still feel a bit new compared to a lot of others.

I've wanted to play Keaton for a few years, but this journal has been around for, uh. Two weeks. Whoops. I'm just glad one of my two top choices for usernames had gone unclaimed for the entire time I've spent waffling over finally unleashing his furry fury on the world. I've been down and out for the last month due to a flu-graduated-to-pneumonia and had pretty much fuck-all to do with my time besides sit in front of a computer and try to make pretty icons.

GRAPHIC DESIGN IS MY WaY Of LiFe FOUR YEARS IS NOT INCONSIDERABLE. It just means you got to bypass the awkward transition from LJ and worrying whether we'd break Dreamwidth's servers and skipped right to having confidence that it won't fall around our ears overnight. Which was your first game?

My first game was Cosmographia, closely followed by Ryslig - I think it was about two months between me actually apping to both, but Ryslig had a fourth wall the month prior that I apped off the back of so it was only a month difference in when I started playing. I was in Ryslig for a lot longer, though (around two and a half years, I dropped right at the end of 2017) so I consider that the game where I learnt the ropes properly and that gave me an idea of the kind of tagging styles and stuff that I liked. What was your first game? and will i have heard of it is the real question

Probably the first "big" game I could mention would be Camp Fuck You Die, which I created back in 2005? I think? And which carried on merrily for a solid decade, which is bonkers. Before that, I played Marcus Flint in a closed Livejournal RP community using Jude Law as a PB. Back then, I was so young, so innocent, and with mediocre taste.

ah yes i've heard of cfud...

I mean, my young RP days were Warrior Cats RPs on Neopets, so I feel like I cannot judge anyone else's early RP life choices.

I'm going to be judging myself for Jude Law until I die, but also: RP on Neopets was fantastic. Like, fuck, who would have dared tell us our original characters shouldn't be speaking in purple glow text? It was the only way to project Princess Serenity Ketchum's true anguish.

It was great and disastrous...my guild didn't have the purple glow text so much but it was edge aesthetic as heck and my medicine cat OC changed names like five times despite name changing being a Huge Deal in Warrior Cats canon, so that was about Princess Serenity Ketchum tier tbh...
