What's his favorite drink to drank and also does that preference change if it's for casual drinking versus wanting to get hilariously drunk?

Red wine 100%, and GOOD red wine because even if Tevinter is a shit country all southern wine is garbage by comparison.

I can see him going for whiskey but Fenris doesn't really get super smashed drunk because doing so would have been too dangerous to risk. He can get pretty tipsy but likely knows his own limits pretty well.

However once he's chilled out in Prisma I'm totally for getting him absolutely trashed in the right circumstances.

Does Klaus ever casually drink or is it always just balls to the wall?

He does casually drink in certain situations! Granted, it's in the sort of way that alcoholic housewives drink -- a glass of something that he sort of ferries around with himself (he does this when he's at the Academy with their dad's expensive alcohol) -- but still.

Klaus (none of the family, honestly!) is never really shown in 'normal' social situations, so I'm not sure how he'd do on say, a blind date or something like that with alcohol. He'd probably mirror the habits of whoever he was with.

Going out, though, I don't think it would even occur to him to do something like drink in moderation because when he goes out, the goal is to get completely fucked up. He too knows his limits, and then intentionally gives them the finger as he breezes past them on a unicycle with a bucket on his head.

What was your least favorite part of Dragon Age 2? Plotline wise, character wise, incredibly repetitive dungeon layout wise (I am biased...)?

HM...I was just talking about this with a few people recently, but there are some parts of the game where it obstructs some characters backstories, so if you make certain choices or don't play the right version of Hawke you won't have the opportunity to even access some of that, and if you didn't play Origins or Awakening, you've probably missed that.

I also kind of roll my eyes at the idea that SO MANY YEARS go by in between acts and just over the story as a whole, where there's so much opportunity for some characters to really grow and change. I don't think it would have been much difference if they lessened the time, but they probably just needed to make it stretch somehow.

I also wish Hawke just REACTED to some things more believably. There are several scenes where they just kind of stare blankly at someone who is uspset or angry and it feels really...robotic. But that can be said of the Inquisitor in DAI as well.

Tbh the repetitive maps don't actually bother me that much, because I definitely play DA2 entirely for the characters and story, so the fact that the environments aren't especially complicated or varied means that I can breeze through those parts that much faster.

If you could pair Klaus romantically with any Dragon Age companion WHO WOULD IT BE?

Isabela was my immediate gut reaction because they would be each other's Worst influences, BUT I actually think that my real answer is Dorian because of their complimentary intense daddy issues, life of excess, and ultimate actual real desire to do good.

Fenris is coming in hot at number two/three though because stupid trauma boys who do incredibly ridiculous things for their family is also A+ honestly.

First of all Fenris doesn't understand the concept of dating. He understand the idea of courtship but I'm not sure he'd have a very good idea of how to actually go about doing it, or what to do if someone was trying to court or woo him. But ideally it would probably involve wine, probably some good food, and maybe something a little more intimate, like curling up and reading to each other or taking a moonlit walk. Something where he can send some quiet time alone with his partner.

Killing slavers is a good option, too.

Actual ideal date, they go somewhere that Klaus can show off a little or be social in a way that makes it obvious he's with the other person, so either a big fancy party where he ends up being obnoxious but charming or a dance party where he can be all up in his partner's grill, (some time for hanky panky like 99% of the time) -- and depending on the time, either staying up late and talking until they both doze off or ordering late-night food and doing something stupid, probably.

WELL I have to have my elf boyfriend naturally, and then it depends on what kind of MOOD I'm in and what kind of banter I want, but I tend to end up with Fenris/Varric/Aveline a lot because they're all BUDS, but sometimes I swap Aveline for Isabela. On the rare occasion I play Hawke as NOT a mage, I try to bring Bethany around as much as possible because I love her and only get to have her for the first 1/3 of the game, RIP.

God that's not even a question, it's Varric for sure. He's just so amazingly solid and he has actual character arcs and I LOVE HIM.

Tell me a headcanon fact that you have about Fenris that you didn't put in his app!

GOOD CHOICE TBH

I think this is somewhat fanon, but I like the idea of the lyrium markings being able to feel pleasurable when touched in the right way with magic. It's a really fine line and takes a lot of control on the magic user's part to not let it be too much. I also think that it's entirely possible to go the other way, and that there are ways to deliberately hurt him by overloading the markings with magic as well. Obviously it can't just be 'gets hit with magic' because that would make him stupidly vulnerable as a bodyguard in Tevinter, but if done with the right amount and type of magic, it could cause serious pain.

P.S. I headcanon it's not possible to Rivalry-Romance Fenris because hard nope just in general on that whole scenario.

What is something you want to explore character-wise with Klaus, either in Prisma or just in general through RP?

Rivalmance in general is so /side-eye honestly, like I get hatefucking but an actual romance is ... weird ...

This one is real dumb because I haven't actually played Klaus anywhere game-wise, but I'm really excited for him to have to interact with people on a day-to-day basis whether he wants to or not. Obviously it's going to be a lot harder to do the 'sleep with someone once and then never see them again' thing in Prisma, and it's also going to be harder to avoid having people get to know him. He's really odd, because he shares SO much of parts of his personal life and then getting him to share other things is like pulling teeth.

Same question for Fenris, for sure!

Honestly. His actually seems borderline emotional abuse, and at best is like "why would you be with someone who treats you like this and doesn't care about how this situation might be upsetting you?" It doesn't further his character growth at ALL so what's the point.

Similarly I'm interested to have Fenris interact with people who...aren't Hawke ahaha. I've played him mostly off of Hawkes on memes and PSLs because I'm shipper trash but he needs to have Friends. It'll be difficult though because I'm shipper trash and Fenris isn't exactly poly if he's committed to someone, so we'll see what happens.

Who does Klaus want to bone the most out of everyone he's met so far?

Mmmhmm...I avoided the rivalmances because I can't play douchebag Hawke anyway.

GOD that's honestly probably Fenris right now, because he DID bang Cyril, he's only tangentially interested in banging Taako and Sen, and he's only *just* met 76 (although 76 pushes all his 'tall, blond, hot soldier boy' buttons, so depending on how that one goes...)

He's feisty and Klaus is kinda into that, and the whole 'watching him while he slept' thing was kind of a big deal to him even if he brushed it off.

ACTUAL limits ... he's literally died and seems to be sort of into that in the ambulance scene, so I would not at all be surprised to find out he's passed out during sex before and been 100% okay with that

He does not enjoy bathroom stuff, but anything where there's someone clearly not consenting will be a HARD stop for him if he's at ALL able to.

Fenris' general eating habits! Does he eat 3 squares a day, does he forget to eat, etc etc.

You know I've never thought much about this...but I feel like he eats regularly, but not like a LOT all at once. He's a nibbler, but large meals make him sick. If he's super stressed out he might lose his appetite or forget to eat.

What are you hoping to do with Cyril in the first few months?

Oh good! Because I had assumed the same thing but realized I had never asked.

As for Cy, mostly the first few months will be finding dudes he can flirt with and smooch. See if any of them click romantically. After he settles in a bit more, he'll mostly be seeing this as a trippy vacation to not have to deal with everything about Solas XD

Also he's gonna wanna learn and take apart as much of the tech as he can. I'm also thinking he'll probably get a cybernetic arm at some point, depending on what the tech is like for that stuff.

What about you and Fenris? Got plans?

Hm!! I haven't come up with anything terribly specific beyond developing CR. I think it'll take a while for him to settle in, honestly, so mostly just riding out whatever things come up and kind of taking them as they come for now.

What is something that makes Cyril angry?

People who harm those who are disenfranchised or less powerful than they are. The murders of the elves in the Winter Palace, for example. People who use the lives of others as pawns. Things like that.

His anger tends to be very cold and calculated and he will say/do things purposely to off put the person he's mad at. That's why he's actually pretty good at The Game, even though he hates it because usually the servants are the ones who get hurt in it.

He is a strong believer that power should be used to protect people who cannot protect themselves and anyone who loses sight of that is an ass.

What is your favourite aspect of Fenris’ characterization?

Ahh such a good question - it's definitely his vulnerability. I like that you can see him grow to take risks with showing it, since he really does want for genuine affection even if a large part of him thinks it's not really possible. He's suffered a lot, but I like that his character is still so much more than "mages/magic is terrible and I hate it". He can make meaningful connections with people, can tell jokes, enjoys playing cards regularly, etc. He's also not afraid to admit/apologize when he's wrong or afraid (on many occasions, at least), but also has his own prejudices. Overall he's a very nuanced character which opens up a lot of facets to explore, which I love.


I'm actually not familiar with your character so I'm going to take a spin on your question and ask what's your favorite and least favorite quality about Mark?

That’s a hard question.

I’d probably say Temple’s clinginess/codependency is my favourite because that is the aspect of his character that the things I consider the most compelling about him - like, his canon dynamic with Biff and what he does when Biff dies - hinge upon. Like, if he wasn’t as attached to Biff as he is, he likely wouldn’t have done any of the things he’s done in canon.

My least favourite would probably be some aspects of how far he takes his villainy. Like, the murder fridge is a great concept and it integrates pretty well with the rest of his characterization but... there are some people in the fandom who ignore the rest of his characterization - including his motivations for killing the Freelancers and why he uses that particular method - and fixate on the fact that he is a villain who murders people.

(And I can see why that would matter to them but the murder fridge is really not where the heart of Temple’s characterization is.)

Plus, the murder fridge leads some people to assume that, because I play Temple, I want him to kill their characters - even though my journal and the kinds of DWRP memes I comment to and the DWRP games I’m interested in should make it very clear that Temple Does A Murder is not something I want to play out.
