A first big 'n successful round of apps has concluded and the game is getting off to a roll - since there are always brains to be picked and new pals and acquaintances to be made, how's about we all play a little getting-to-know-you game?

I feel like Mundus pissed him off the most, with Arkham a close second? Least enjoyable has to be the friggin skyscraper.

Does Matilda prefer being foxy or dragony?

God the skyscraper is there in the trailer for 2 and I keep forgetting it exists. I really should give that one another playthrough despite its...yeah.

Pretty sure she prefers being dragony. She likes being able to stretch her wings and whatnot but the need for secrecy back home really does put a damper on that. The fox shape is based on one of the people who raised her, so it's honestly not so bad.

So I gotta ask this question: favorite devil arm, either melee or gun. Yours and Dante's.

It's... Pretty bad.... But I like Lucia despite the dumb rehash that is her plot. Idk.

MY favorite is Lucifer from 4. Like it's super unwieldy but it can be so satisfying when you figure out the timing. Also best intro cutscene. Dante's is probably the dumb sword he named after himself. Or, you know, Cavaliere. Because c'mon.

If Tilly didn't inherit an affinity for necromancy, what skills/magic would she have focused on instead?

Oh yeah, I'm playing Lucia first if/when I go back to 2. Poor Dante is so stiff in that game and it makes me sad.

Lucifer is fun if you know what you're doing and I never did. Demon Backpack all the way.You can tell they were proud of Cavaliere, though. They should be.

THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION, HMM. I'm thinking either one of two directions or maybe both: since she's from a D&D campaign, she'd probably go bard instead of wizard. She's loves singing and performing despite being shy as fuck, so she could do all kinds of trickery with magic or the thousand skill proficiencies they can get. The other option's tapping into her void dragon heritage and getting better with anything that warps space, gravity or any shenanigans like that. Bards come close to doing things like that anyway, so it all works out.

I got a hard question for you: how do you think the Sparda kids would've turned out if demons never attacked Eva?

Haha I was harassing Flag with something similar the other day. I think if they weren't separated their rivalry probably would have had the chance to develop into something more healthy, given they would have had support and mediation. It's possible Dante may have even learned to apply himself a little more and generally be less of a slob. >>

I still feel like he would have gone the demon hunter route, but I imagine his entry into that line of work would have been less haphazard.

And because turnabout is fairplay, how do you think Matilda would have been affected if she wasn't separated from her sister?

The ideal way that would play out is if she and her sister were both adopted by the legendary heroes. If they found both her and her sister, Pendorma, then Matilda would immediately have someone to relate to when dealing with that period of dragon racism. Penny would've kept Tilly from developing as many social anxieties and Tilly would've been a moral compass to keep her sister from becoming one of the campaign's big villains. They'd both get into performing together, though. Song is just their thing.

The less ideal way is the two run off together, the heroes don't find either and probably lose the fight against Matilda's father. That'd make for an interesting bad end AU.

Oh, right! I noticed on your muselist that you also play reboot!Dante. Were you stuck between apping between the two of them at all?

Honestly, I do consider him any time I consider apping Dante. DmC has a lot of problems but it does provide some interesting twists on the characters. And honestly I usually play "edgier" characters than classic!Dante? So reboot!Dante is a little bit more in line with that? Weirdly? Considering the first Dante I played was from 4.

Given the timing of 5 and how ready I was for mainline Dante again, though, I didn't for very long. I actually considered V, but decided I wouldn't have time to work up his voice before apps closed. 8|a

Other than Dante, is there anyone from DMC that you'd be interested in playing?

Funny enough, I was actually this close to bringing my Dante to Prisma until I saw someone else reserve. Then I realized "Hey, I can finally play off of a Dante rather than be the Dante" so while it's a little too late, I hope you don't mind me immediately bugging you for CR XD

Aside from different canon points Dante, I do have a Vergil account! Played him in a game for a bit and did a few memes and he's fun. Aside from those two, I almost considered picking up Trish for this game. She's the DMC character I see the least of and would love to give her a try. Mikasa won out because I had a previous app I could recycle and I'm lazy. I'm still considering Trish for the next app round, tho

Also is it...weird to say I would pick up Griffon? I did not expect the birb to give me so many feels in 5, but chapter 18 sealed the deal for me.
