QUESTIONS MEME

THE QUESTIONS MEME
A first big 'n successful round of apps has concluded and the game is getting off to a roll - since there are always brains to be picked and new pals and acquaintances to be made, how's about we all play a little getting-to-know-you game?
HOW TO PLAY:
• Leave a comment below with your name and the characters who you play.
• Respond to others' comments with questions - they can be about their characters, their current in-game plans or things they'd like to play, their CR, RP in general, their canons and fandoms, or most anything else.
• Answer questions you've received! Keep it short or TL;DR to your heart's content, depending on how much you have or are in the mood to say!
• After each answer you give, ask a question back to the person who answered you. Keep the thread of questioning up for as long as both parties are game!
• Go for it - make friends, make new plans, make anything you like!

✓ gwendolyn, velvet and mercedes are extremely well written characters with wholly fleshed out personalities, strengths and flaws that round them out into amazing protagonists (im biased and say gwen is the best of the three female leads but they're all good)
✓ oswald and cornelius are also extremely good dudes and their romantic relationships with two of the female protagonists are great. like, i ended up at the end of the game like "yeah honestly, im glad they ended up together, theyre cute and good pairings" and that's extremely rare given a lot of the time canon relationships are eh (i wont say who and how though eheheheh)
✓ complex, believable antagonists with varying degrees of sympathy to them. you'll find i rag a lot on gwen's dad in particular in tags whenever i can, but he's probably my favourite antagonist in the game because even though he does a lot of awful shit it's completely understandable that he's prioritizing his role as a king to secure the future of his country to do it, cause it's his job. and he himself suffers for it as well with a load of stuff that'd go into spoiler territory (the above is in the first five minutes of the game so it's nothing plot ruining)
✓ the ps2 version was shit. i never played it originally but you have the option to use that version in the remake and to me it's like, unplayable. but they rehashed the whole fighting system for the remake's engine and it's basically a side scrolling beat em up that plays like a fighting game, complete with assigning specials to button combinations and chaining normals with them to just endlessly juggle bosses. it's super duper fun to play and has to be experienced
✓ i uhhhhh finished it a few years ago but i wanna say all the story chapters will probably last you about 30 hours? google says 35 so somewhere around 30 id say
so basically play odin sphere, tell all your friends to play odin sphere and keep going until everyone's played it. only then can my ghost rest
my question for you is: malleable protags like ren generally give everyone the same experience, but we all tend to take something from them that's a little bit more personal given he isn't 100% wholly his own character, so what was it about him that attracted you to him? anything unique you think other people might not have gotten from him after playing the game?
