For but a moment, vision blurring with vertigo, Runyu wonders if he's staring at an apparition of himself, some false image caused by the state of him. But then the stranger draws closer and Runyu sees their differences, finding the other man so small-boned and delicate he must surely hail from the Empress's own bird tribe. But Runyu does not recognize him, and as they are in a world away from the Heavenly Realm, he remains on guard but does not allow suspicion to overtake him.
