Books have always wielded power where he came from, enough to save him and his comrades from unnecessary suffering, sometimes even death itself. How long has it been since he touched a book? Was it when they held the fake sacred texts? He listens to the Exarch talk about this world, his world, and his knowledge, somewhat eyeing the spine of the book under his fingers.
