Oh no, my dear, you needn't worry about that [Dorian chuckled softly, endeared by the thought that Regis imagined his son might have offended him in some way] I have thick callouses built up from years of verbal exchanges that very little offends me. He's charming, really, it seems he's flourished as a person and now I understand why.

[Noctice being raised by a father that saw him as a son and not an heir was actually something Dorian was quite envious of, Dorian was raised as an heir and not as a son and it had done damage that was quite possibly irreparable.]

It's always an interesting experience, he's quite a personality, I will give him that.

[After all their first encounter had been a hilarious one that Dorian would never forget, it's not every day you see someone paddling around in a hot spring with clothing on after all. If it wasn't so humorous Dorian would have been concerned that he was going to overheat.

As for whether or not Dorian was Noctis's type, well Dorian wouldn't know, he certainly thought the young man had his charms and now he knew where those charms came from. The mage couldn't say he's met many kings in his lifetime, but of the ones he's met they were hardly this adorable.]

My apologies, I'm teasing you a bit...you might become familiar with my brand of teasing [because it was a habit and a custom, but he meant no real harm in it] shall I call you Regis, then...and you may call me Dorian as you like. I typically don't stand on ceremonies, but to my credit, I don't often mingle with kings as the Imperium is ruled by a Magisterium. So you'll have to pardon my excitement.
