Awkward small talk is something Kenzaki can do all day.

...er, okay, not all day, but at least for ten minutes or so before he makes awkward excuses and exits, because he's still not sure about this whole not ending the world thing (though he believes that Hajime believes it). And because he hasn't been around someone he doesn't have to pretend with for many, many years.

"I've only been here a short time. I figured the weirdness I felt was just because this place is weird," Kenzaki admits dourly, then he catches sight of - of something on Hajime's hand, and everything freezes inside him and he very carefully controls every muscle of his expression. "You're married! Congratulations! Who's the lucky person?"

Stupid. Hajime's allowed to get married. You wanted him to experience being human, right? What's he supposed to do, be alone forever? You wanted this for him.
