The short of it is that Integra comes from a world where vampires and the supernatural a kept a secret from the public! She's the granddaughter of Abraham van Helsing from the novel Dracula and the head of a secret organization sanctioned by the British Government to keep vampires at bay. At some point, the plot of the series happens and a secret Nazi army comes out of the shadows to plunge Britain into WWIII. It's pretty ridiculous!! But Integra herself is a no-nonsense, take charge kind of lady who is at once elegant and highly dangerous. Also, Dracula is her bitch. :U
