crunchy had a news article on it so maybe them, they also did at least one touken ranbu which is dmm also so precedence??

That's true, but CR reports on everything, including anime no one has licensed (they've clearly been trying to get Precure for years).

I have to say Kanon. Both AIR and CLANNAD were great but cut a lot of content (AIR was just one cour and an OVA, and while CLANNAD was two two-cour seasons, the VN is loooooooong). Meanwhile, what Kanon cut just streamlined the story and they added in just as much to make five different routes a coherent whole.
