"I could. Moon dogs have low gravity when you get their fur wet."
Enough that he could shoot the dog through a hoop and he would gently float down through. However, Weiss would literally kill him if she found out, and Midorima doesn't want to die.
"The vending machines are all yours then."
The one they just passed serves various types of pickled vegetable juice. Takao can have at it.
As they get to the court, Takao may notice a change in Midorima's physique. Something that definitely didn't happen back home and that he has no control of over here: his ears perk up and down a couple of times before staying up and his tail is sweeping back and forth. It's a tanuki tail so it stays low, but it's still sweeping behind him in excitement. His face is still its usual serious self, despite that, but it makes what he's feeling a little more.. blatant.
"We aren't allowed to play games during the single moons because moonblessed would have too much of an unfair advantage, so all the games are in the second half of the month. You'll have to practice to get used to my Cordis speeds during triple moon, however, as all advantages are allowed then as everyone has access to theirs."
In other words, Midorima is definitely faster than normal when he's got his tanuki bits.
"Use of elemental and non-moonblessed abilities is strictly prohibited still, but it changes strategy necessary during the triple moons to deal with physical changes. Sanguis have super strength, Cordis have super speed, and Iris have accelerated regeneration so their stamina is to be reckoned with."
So the game is slightly different during triple moons, though, and Takao is going to have to adjust to that just like Midorima did. It's pretty important to make sure that he knows what to expect though, especially since Takao is going to have to be able to keep up with Midorima to pass to him.
