"I won't. He doesn't urinate on my things, I have no reason to."
Unlike a certain Nigou, who did urinate on his things and deserves to be three-pointed into space. Merlin is a fine dog who was potty trained already when Midorima got him. It's probably the only kind of dog that Midorima can handle, one who is pre-potty trained.
His eyebrow twitches when he sees Takao trying to laugh, but doesn't say anything. He doesn't know what's so funny to Takao, but if he doesn't bring it up then he doesn't have to find out. His little annoyed expression doesn't stop the obvious excitement in his tanuki features, though, and with Takao obviously ready to practice and now informed about the difference, the shooting guard retrieves the bag from him and the basketball from that bag.
He also has no idea that Takao is planning on practicing alone. If they're practicing, they're out in the open air which means his pheromones aren't half the problem they are indoors or in close proximity. Then again, he only ever has his team to practice with since most of the others chose not to join an official team and focus on other aspects of being here. Midorima just isn't good at doing any different than he always does, though, and went straight for basketball.
"I'll talk to my manager about having you try out."
Look, it's not the NBA, so Midorima is basically one of the most popular players because of his skills. He has a manager who has to deal with like, press and licensing and stuff. That's part of why he has such a nice place to live. With that said, he passes the ball to Takao. Because he gets to pass the ball to Takao and he hasn't been able to do that in over a year so he's doing what he wants to, as odd as Midorima passing the ball willingly once might've been.
