Kise almost chokes on his food when Takao imitates Midorima, and when he swallows he coughs and properly laughs. Yup, that was exact Midorima. "I wonder if that's how he was in the beginning." Kise's turn to imitate him, "You're moonlancing the wrong way, fool." And then laughs some more. As if there's a wrong way to do it. Maybe he shouldn't poke fun so much on Midorima's expense but he can't help it, it's so tempting when the guy is unflinching and serious 110% of the time.
It really is hard to believe when you first time hear about it. But when the time comes, one realizes it's quite real and can be quite a bit of a problem. Kise finds himself being lucky as a sanguis, his energy manifesting in aggression that he can handle but extreme workouts when he can't be with Midorima or Yosuke. Concrete advice for other moons he doesn't have, only basic warnings.
"Yeah, basically." Kise leans back, taking a sip of his drink. "You can work random jobs, part-time or full time, to earn Demichroma, the basic currency here, but you still need chroma to survive. If you lack on demichroma, chroma splits into two demichromas. But it still comes down to you having to, well, spend time with people more intimately." He scratches back of his neck, "I won't lie to you, the most chroma you can get is through sex. What you get from that is probably what you can get out of three or four days from just hugging someone." He could be wrong, but it always felt that way.
"So it's not impossible not to, well, DO it, but like... shit always goes down around here, and it's good to have backup chroma."
