[ The crystal moves as easily as his other hand though it cannot feel the same way. Some warmth from the handshake lingers but nothing else, though that could have been some Chroma as well. It was such a brief contact that it would be hard to say especially to one unused to the feeling.

Of greater interest is the tale Louis tells. It was, perhaps, a little sneaky of the Exarch to decide to ask such a thing first. He was genuine in his reasoning that there may be some pattern to be uncovered by comparing backgrounds, but there is still part of him that is honestly curious about Louis himself and those curiously red eyes.

To his credit the Exarch does get an answer though it's far from what he'd been expecting. ]

[ The Exarch's tone is carefully neutral, still more thoughtful than anything close to wary. If Louis is undead he's clearly kept his mind intact and poses no more threat than any other stranger. And it probably explains the eyes, too... ]

To survive such hardship is commendable.
