Midorima chooses to ignore the accusation that it was his fault and instead simply move on with food at the conversation. He says his thanks as well and digs in without hesitation. It tastes relatively similar to the equivalent at home. While nothing's exactly the same, a lot of things are close enough that Midorima accepts it. There's really no getting around accepting it, you eat or you starve, so he adapted to the difference quickly.

"Most food is fine. It's an alien planet, so the foods aren't going to be exact. Many restaurants will take requests to make dishes similar to what we're used to if we can find similar-tasting ingredients. There are a surprising number of similarities to Earth foods."

At least that is somewhat convenient. Midorima takes a bite and chews before he finishes speaking again. They're just going to be here a while, because Midorima isn't particularly ravenous or anything when he eats during Cordis- he just eats more, which means he takes more time.

"There are occasionally specialty items which are clearly labeled, but I would be careful to double-check anything you buy from a man named Lumi. He's a traveling salesman who shows his face toward the end of each month, but some of his wares are questionable or lack decent instruction for use."

Midorima still buys a couple of things from him from time to time, like a dimensional orb or revivifies or barriettes. He should give one to Takao in case of emergency until Takao can get to him on his own, come to think of it.

"And don't buy anything in Caihong."
