It's not wrong, though Midorima has extra reason to avoid that area. He doesn't want to get caught up in anything again. He doesn't want Takao to get caught up in anything and knows he likely won't, but there's a decided need to warn him against the area. God knows if he got held ransom like Midorima had, Midorima would pay it without hesitation, but he wouldn't wish his experience on anyone.

He doesn't know if sexual slavery is on the table, but he doesn't doubt it. Even if he rarely has to deal with it, the world is not as kind a place as those who get to play basketball every day have to witness.
