That said, there are a few things that he needs to warn Takao about as they head for the shopping center.

Midorima Shintarou is, in fact, capable of ignoring the existence of commonplace clothing selections for over a year. He doesn't even know how to warn Takao about clothing like the Virgin Killer-equivalent that electrifies people for unwanted touches or other clothing specials.
