There's no point in lying about it. Takao probably didn't notice while they played basketball because they were in motion for the most part, and it was well-faded by now, but there's a decided scar on his left hand at this point. He's had other injuries, but he's gotten much better at advanced healing techniques of this world and, well, Weiss's.
"This world isn't like ours. There are monsters and ghosts and cults and all manner of things ready to cause problems. I've been taking archery lessons to improve my ability to defend myself at a distance."
