There's a brief flicker on his face- one probably no one but Takao would notice. Midorima just wants to go stay in his room right now, away from anyone. Takao can come. He doesn't know how to begin talking about something, to begin actually.. processing things in a healthy way. Even when the Generation of Miracles broke down and he lost the only people he could call friends (even if all but Akashi agreed that Midorima was the most difficult to get along with even back then) he hadn't had to talk about it. That was something he could work out through basketball without ever really speaking except when it was necessary, like telling his team about Akashi or imploring Kuroko to do the same with Seirin. This wasn't something that could be solved with exposition and basketball could, as demonstrated, only push things to the side for a while.

He isn't saying he won't talk to him about it. He doesn't really know how to, but in the middle of public isn't a place that he wants to deal with this.
