Right, Takao is going to have to get used to that, he has not considered that or even thought about what the kotatsu from hell did to him earlier. Not just Cordis but Iris as well. Unfortunately, he continues to slip into old patterns with Midorima and forget that with this setting, some things that would have been no big deal back home have to be worked differently when the moons are working their mojo at least. The most significant adjustment will be in how he acts with Midorima; they have their ways, and having to adjust his natural inclination with the shooter is a hurdle he will work through. People he does not know will be more comfortable; he can learn how to be more "distant" if he does not allow himself to get too close, to begin with. The not connecting will be the hardest; he likes people, but then again, he is friendly but close with well, one person and the rest of their team, so maybe it won't be so hard as it seems.
"If there is worse than this, I'll take a pass." Though he figures if this place is a thing, there are probably those that are worse, and at least here they get some time that things are "normal," and there doesn't seem to be monsters so bad that they are a daily thing. That's a bonus. As for seedier elements like gangs or other items, well, everywhere has those.
Takao will tease, but never will he ask Midorima about sex; some subjects are on a list of not going there. He does not want things to be weird between them just because this place does funny things.
"I am not doing high school twice. I'd rather play basketball and become a ninja or something badass like that." He snickers, being sarcastic, yet realistic at the same time. He'll play basketball and pick up some form of self-defense, he'll have to start looking into it once he feels a little more settled. The sooner, the better, though, at least he has his favorite activity so that he won't be restless.
