[Rin's expression hadn't changed much, but there was a darkness in his eyes, and in his voice that betrayed just how affected he was by that village even over a year later now.]
We didn't have food readily available. Everythin' that could be eaten at first basically tasted and felt like ash and didn't have any color. We were able to get color and taste back to things, slowly, but we were basically forced to do quests by some faceless person who gave them out and never responded to anythin' we asked. It was... like a fairy tale world that had gone horribly wrong.
Eventually we did put the original story together and were able to leave, but when I did I just showed up here. Still... I'll take my small apartment, fiancee and restaurant on another world over bein' there barely gettin' by in a broken down house.
