Hello, everyone! It's that time of the month again! Not the bleed-y kind but the fun kind! Please insert form A below into tab B also below and await for CR to be dispensed.
probably like shit, but that's nothing new 🙃!! besides, Akechi (and everyone else) should dislike him and stay away from him, because it's just a matter of time before something bad happens if you stick around, etc etc ad infinitum /eyeroll
but he would have some sympathy for the kiddo, and might back off on most of the trolling after knowing the dislike isn't just out of self-righteousness. just give him some feels why don't you
Bah, bad things happen to him all the time. He actually sees himself as a curse and the cause of his mother's suffering (though he recently realized she loved him anyway). It's never stated outright, but I'd be willing to bet that part of the reason he named himself 'Crow' is because of the bad luck superstition.
He'd probably warm up to Qrow after learning his circumstances, since he tends to have sympathy for people who have suffered similarly to him. Buuuuuut it'll take a while before he stops tensing and making disgusted faces at heavy drunkenness, since dealing with a walking trigger warning with a tendency to lash out at the slightest provocation when drunk tends to leave some mental scars.
I am all in for making Qrow feel like a human piece of garbage along the way to mutual understanding, it's pretty much the only thing that inspires him to be better. it wasn't until he let all the kids down big time, and Ruby stood up to him, that he even started to consider that maybe being hammered 24/7 during a war isn't a fabulous idea.
at the very least! it might help that Qrow isn't typically aggressive unless he's frustrated and keyed up in a combat situation. he's actually very low-key, just horrifically obnoxious lol and picking a fight with Winter was obviously flirting
and he's very, very protective of kids, so there's a quality Akechi might appreciate
Radiates consequences at him until he realizes that maybe his being a disaster causes real problems for other people.
That will help, yeah. He's under the drinking age in his home country and seeing dangerous drunks has scared him off of visiting bars here, so his only point of reference for alcohol is the kind of guy who sues a teenager for making him drunkenly trip over his own feet while stopping him from assaulting a woman. It'd be good for him to see more of a spectrum of drunken behavior.
Protectiveness of kids is good. Akechi's used to adults just pushing kids around for their own benefit, so he could really use more examples of older people actually looking out for younger generations.
