I would love to have her meet Katara! Thanks to items (and not knowing what those items do), Kagura is going to permanently get the ice powers for Cordis, so maybe they can meet as a result of Kagura having an accident with that?
She's on friendly terms with Tarrlok, so if she sees Katara waterbending, she'll realize what it is.
Is Ziva willing to teach? Kagura's very much a distance fighter right now who's learning how to fight in other ways.
The ice incident sounds like the perfect setup! It also leads nicely into the Tarrlok connection since Katara is also on good terms with him here (unless something changes later).
Ziva is indeed willing! She's had training with the pugilists guild in her world so she can show her some hand to hand, as well as how to fight close range with daggers if she'd like.
How effective she is as an instructor depends on the dynamic I think. She's been passable in the past, but she's never taken on formally training others so it'll be a learning experience for her.
It's funny too, because I'd forgotten that her current fighting style is actually probably similar to Kagura's. As a Dancer she fights with chakrams.
I have a semi-open log for Ziva up here if you'd like (would you rather I start, or you?), and I don't have anything for Katara at the moment but I could toss up an open/semi-open log if you don't have anything for Kagura atm. Alternatively, if you'd rather start with and focus on one thread at a time just let me know. :)
