You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. Even the few shy moon creatures you find in the wild have strange crystal growths on their hides. This is far from home— perhaps a dream? You pinch your skin and slap your cheeks, yet nothing seems to do the trick. Searching for answers yields nothing but an endless expanse of purple dust as far as the eye can see. You have four options: one, panic; two, soil yourself; three, admire it all then soil yourself; or four, go into survival mode. Eventually, you’ll realize that you’re not alone.

After a day or two of living off the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. After the strange phenomenon during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.

You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? Why did I mix tequila with xanax last night? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay.

While waiting for transport to be prepared, you may freely roam around the government center. Eventually you’re called back from exploring, escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel that makes frequent trips back and forth between the moons and the planet. Faces onboard vary from both old and new Moonblessed as well as Prismal locals. The next destination: Prismatica.

A. After settling into the ship and selecting the current in-flight movie, Back Door Slugs 9, you and those around you may eventually feel a bit of turbulence during the movie’s highly anticipated climax. Did anyone notice it, or is everyone too focused on the hot characters?

At first, it’s a small jitter that’s easy to miss or brush off. But as the transport vessel travels on, the shaking progressively escalates to erratic tremors strong enough to cause severe nausea. A minute later, a voice over the speaker announces the ship will have to make an emergency landing, citing technical difficulties.

Sparks can be seen overhead as more ship parts malfunction. This is a good time to hold your neighbor’s hand, say your last goodbyes, and apologize for that horrible thing you did in the sixth grade. Grip your seat with the might of every god you can think of.

B. Another minute later, a follow-up announcement states that external entities have breached the transport vessel. Everyone is warned to be careful and watch out for each other. Small fires will have to be put out before they worsen with either magic or emergency equipment onboard such as extinguishers. In-flight robotic attendants will be scuttling around to perform immediate repairs.

Eventually, an entire power panel bursts, and prismatic jellyfish unnaturally spill out. The jellyfish will try to latch and suction onto any technological devices close by such as the television screens on the seats or communicators and will show preference to Iris Moonblessed over the rest. Be ready to help and pull numerous jellyfish off both the faces of Moonblessed and Prismals!

The emergency landing successfully completes and the transport vessel will safely land on top of a gorgeous lake filled with tiny glaciers floating by. When reached out and touched, you’ll find out that the “glaciers” are surprisingly cool crystals and not ice.

The ship will be left hovering idly on the water surface while passengers are ferried to solid ground using portable emergency boats. However, civilization is still a distance away.

A. You’ve probably heard of flying sharks from a veteran Moonblessed. But how about sea lions? These aquatic lions are born with scaly skin and gills outside of their crystallized manes. Unfortunately, they haven’t tasted fresh meat in quite some time. If there are any injured onboard or near your boat, the chances of the sea lions detecting people will be higher as they are drawn to the scent of blood. Growling hungrily, they will be quick to latch onto the boats, biting the edges, and trying to knock everyone overboard for dinner.

After surviving through so far, the Prismals guide everyone to a nearby encampment run by humanoid rabbits. They are tall, built, and have a habit of mentioning their virility an awkward amount of times. They are also generous and will share their game meat and fresh crops while allowing everyone to rest for the night at the only inn in their village.

B. There is no running water all the way out here, so if anyone wants a bath, they’ll have to do it traditionally. The village protects a natural spring, which is a good place to bathe away the sea water. Around the spring, the rabbit folk’s friends — little scintilla chinchillas — will shock away any predators that dare to approach their sanctuary! Be at ease and feel free to offer your friends shampoo massages.

The next day, the rabbits can be seen hacking away at some of the wilder-looking plants for an easier pathway. If you wake up early enough, you can ask some of them for a tour of the beautiful greenery. They mention that it’s thanks to the Moonblessed that their crops have been doing so well lately — the result of all the chroma influx. The rest of the journey to the city will be smooth sailing.

Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

A. Find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.

Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.

B. A new high-end boutique, Prissy Polyp, has opened in Level 2. As compensation for what happened, both Moonblessed and Prismals that were affected in yesterday’s flight will receive 50% off their total purchase. Those unaffected will receive 30% discount coupons as a promotional gift. All are encouraged to visit with their friends or special someone, try on some things together, enjoy each other in the fitting rooms, and deal with the loud, ear-blistering background pop music.

Their clothing collections are characterized by bright iridescent designs, some features such as design patterns may glow ethereally in the dark. One of their signature dresses features a one piece (also available on their trench coats) that can amplify the appearance of one’s decolletage, gluteal muscles, and/or bulge with the press of a neon button. Another item among their collection is the maiden sweater: a sleek, backless sweater that shocks those who attempt unwanted touches. Others include skin-tight leggings (also available on their shorts or pants) which produce pleasant and relaxing vibrations on all lower extremities and fashionable polyp-shaped hats for all kinds of people. It’s a huge shop, you never know what else to find in there.

[It was incredibly easy for Jack to realize he was no longer on Earth. He could feel it. He could also feel that he was on the moon. Well, a moon. And this one didn’t come with a Manny. But he still had his staff, at least. So, he took it in hand and began meandering his way through the Crystal field. He was barefoot and several of the crystals grew frost as he passed by. Can you see him? He won’t be expecting you to.]

[Putting out fires was something of an easy task when you had frost abilities and a staff that acted like a conduit for said abilities. The jellyfish were new though. He jumped around, waving his staff at any fires that had started while also stopping to freeze off any jellyfish. Careful you don’t slip!]

Still, they were giving him a pick of whatever he wanted. It wouldn’t hurt to check it out, right? He stepped into one such apartment, colorful and bright and reminding him of a certain decade that he remembered actually pretty fondly.]

[The person who speaks is perhaps eighteen or nineteen and very handsome. He's also dressed in clothing a good six or seven centuries before Jack was last on earth.]

( he decided to skip the movie entirely, not interested in seeing some kind of in-flight movie and opting to try to keep himself and his stomach steady. something about being in a space ship has him disoriented, and if his sense of direction didn't already suck, konoe wouldn't have guessed that he was up in the sky--- a very, very far away.

but it's the announcement that has his tail sink and his ears fold back, as the jellyfish suddenly appear in front of him. despite not carrying any electronic devices, they still loom closer and closer in this narrow hallway. taking a step back and turning, a spark ignites a fire right before his eyes.

fire.

there's something about it that makes him squeeze his eyes shut, the sight of flickering flames igniting some mixture of fear and anger. the nausea from being on a ship passes immediately, throat going dry.

he can't make a sound as he clutches his stomach and crouches down into a ball. )

( he's got a few questions for some of these rabbits, like why they keep talking about how much they'd like to 'show the cute kitty a few tricks'. instead, he's being escorted to the spring where he has no desire to hop into the water for what he sees as being a waste. no, konoe knows how he'll clean himself, and he finds a comfortable and secluded spot away where he can do his business.

on the ground, konoe pulls his tail out and around, licking the corners of his lips before he takes his tongue and drags it along the fur. he avoids the crook at the top, stopping right at where it angles.

and all the while, he keeps his eyes up and stays as alert as possible, though he's sure he'll be safe. there are those chinchillas, after all. )

[ His business concluded within Iris's government center, Binghe settles in for the return trip to a place he's unexpectedly begun to consider 'home'. Heights have never been a problem, and while the idea of traveling beyond Prismatica itself had stretched his imagination, his concerns about traveling off world had mostly revolved around leaving his master planet-side.

His prior ambivalence on space travel becomes a great deal less concrete when it's clear their transport is in trouble. The terror in their captain's voice coupled with the ever-increasing turbulence immediately puts him on guard. Binghe may have no innate fear of dying but the need to try to make it back to his master in one piece, whatever may occur, compels him to do all he can to make that possible.

He doesn't even know how to brace himself for what may come when space-flight turns terrible. He lacks the basic understanding of the science behind any of this, beyond the keen awareness that death must be certain when tragedy strikes miles above the nearest drop of air or earth to offer any hope of survival.

Not that he plans on taking this lying down. Their vessel is still moving, despite the explosions and fires that he and other passengers have to clear away from. An extension of spiritual energy Binghe summons surrounds and engulfs several small bursts of flame. The energy acts as a barrier to the air those flames are feeding off of, and without it they sputter out.

But there are still many more, accompanied by the intrusion of the bizarre translucent tentacled creatures that spill out from within the cabin itself. Those that don't gravitate towards the electronic devices littered about seem to make a beeline for certain people, himself included.

His ZhengYang sword in hand, Luo Binghe carves a path through a collection of jellyfish, using his energy to cast their remains onto the floor as he deliberately heads down a line of seats in the direction of freshly sprung up flames. Ones that even he knows are an immediate danger to their survival.

The fires looming in front of Konoe's huddled figure are smothered as the others before, gone with a wash of energy that disappears with a clench of Luo Binghe's free-hand. With ZhengYang still brandished in the other, ready for any more Iris-hungry jellyfish, Binghe lightly nudges Konoe with his knee. He's not about to crouch down and risk an ambush by losing his focus. ]

Hey, you. [ Chivalrous as ever. ] If you're hurt somewhere, then you need to speak up.

[Ocelot spent all of about five minutes determining the in-flight movie wasn't to his taste and decided to spend the trip sleeping. Poking or prodding him to try and wake him up would lead to varying responses between ignoring it or dislocating the offending finger before going back to sleep.

However there was no problem with him becoming awake and alert quite immediately after the technical difficulties announcement.

If anything he might have even seemed a bit bored, just calmly standing up, grabbing the nearest extinguisher and directing it to a newly ignited fire.

The jellyfish rolling in at least finally got him to raise an eyebrow, then he just hosed the nearest one with the extinguisher.]


JAWS IV: JAWS HARDER

A

Shooting jellyfish, especially jellyfish latching on to people seemed an obviously supremely bad idea, shooting a sea lion gnawing on the boat to shore on the other hand? Ocelot didn't think twice about putting a bullet through the skull of the pest.

Frankly Ocelot probably seemed far too calm about the whole thing, though making one bleed was probably a very good way to attract a whole lot more to the boat.

IT’S FREE REAL-ESTATE

[The first step was research, though not necessarily what most people would consider such. Of course eventually he would trek through all the levels to get lay of the land and a mental map, but for information, his first stop was browsing through Prismagram. While the world of technology and the internet were not his forte, it was the least curated seeming form of information.

Obvious there was plenty of junk, but there was also no investment in guiding his opinion the way seeking the same information from the government centers.

His motives aside, the end result was a man who looked like he stepped straight out of a western scrolling through his phone at a little outdoor cafe table, absent mindedly picking his way through three separate desserts.

(At least it seemed so, actively trying to touch or take any of the desserts would result in a swift and immediate stabbing with the his fork.)]

ITT: 65 year old Russian super spy who's been regularly active in at least two militaries and three intelligence agencies at any given time. He's a professional sadist, has supposedly had training as a charm agent, and is coming off of having been possessed by his boyfriend's dead son's arm. Oh and he dresses like a cowboy and hates the French.]

It's been An Ordeal already, what with the ship landing in an emergency situation due to the "technical difficulties", but Sonsoh is already over it. Perhaps it was the movie that somehow caused its descent into what looks like frosty waters? Maybe whoever was in charge of keeping the thing from getting wrecked by jellyfish shouldn't have been watching some kind of steam slug action, but. Eh. Sonsoh found the entire situation somewhat hilarious--- better to keep a smile on his face than to be exasperated or exhausted.

But it seems that these sea lions seek to keep his boat from staying afloat, and he's already concerned about some of the injured Prismals on board. No matter, the chakrams in his hands are deadly and sharp, enough to probably cut through the hides of these beasts. There's even multiple, so it should be easy enough for him to flourish his way out of this mess!

Except... he doubts he can keep them all at bay, and a somewhat inexperienced dancer like him still needs a partner. Despite that, he flings one of his throwing weapons toward one of the seals and watches it barely miss--- skimming over the flesh of one now irritated sea lion. And with its course affected, the ring returns to him wobbling.

He's not going to catch it. It's going to hit someone else? Maybe. Probably. All he can do is watch as it flutters pseudo-dangerously in the air.

Oops.


B:

He was made an offer that he can't refuse: to act as a model for a particular one piece that is a bright, hot pink. Despite it being discounted, he can't refute the idea of making enough chroma to potentially purchase it if he's happy with how it fits. And after slipping it on, Sonsoh has no issues with it! Easy to wear, and after performing a few familiar dance steps, there's no lack of maneuverability. Honestly, it might be a steal!

That is, until it works it "magic".

The neon button is too hard to ignore, and once he gives it a few quick taps, there's no doubt that he wants to shred this thing into pieces and get it far away from him. The one piece has tightened up, enough to 'amplify' certain aspects of his form. Gritting his teeth, the patches of scales on his body are almost visible through the fabric and he's growing uncomfortable.

But no, he has his pride on the line. Doesn't mean he'll enjoy it, and he finds a place to brood. He can at least imitate one of the grumpier, more aggressive Auri men that he's seen once or twice, and if he can glower and look unhappy, maybe he can escape this entire ordeal without too many problems.

From a ship to this...? He's already missing the Steppe.

The Au Ra thought it was bad enough, it might get shockingly worst.

Shar heard the buzz of a new glamour boutique somewhere in the second level. So there she was trying out some new wear. She left the dressing room wearing a creamy color maiden sweater, anything to help brighten with her dark tone. She twirled herself around the mirror while inspecting herself. It's quite cute and nice. Mayhap a little too revealing, but only the bareback and maybe just a little under the waist. She couldn't tie around the neck quite yet so her hands remain upholding it together.

If she knew any better, it's as if the shop screamed chroma judging by clothes the place stocked alone. No, that can't be right. Then she spotted yet another Au Ra, gaunt to well... the damn tight features. Shar stand corrected.

"Pardon me."

She cleared her throat, kept eye contact. Better, she turned so her back was facing him.

"I don't suppose I could borrow your hands for a moment. I can't quite piece them together."

There were two tiny silver hoods and latches.

Nikolai Lanstov | King of Scars (Grishaverse)

I. going down in jellyfish

[This would not be his first time aboard an aircraft on the verge of crashing. But it is the first time the malfunctioning of the vessel involves jellyfish bursting out of the equipment. And for the first time in his life, Nikolai does not feel that he's in a position to take charge of the situation. He is neither captain nor commander; he has not earned the respect and confidence of anyone around him. The mantle of king means little when worn by a refugee from another world.

So he starts with the passenger next to him. A jellyfish has just latched onto the side of their face, its tendrils tensing and its bulbous body quavering like a souffle going flat. Turning to the stranger, Nikolai puts on the nonchalant voice of someone attending a dinner party.]

I can never remember the proper etiquette for when someone has a sea creature attached to their face. So do forgive me—

[And so saying, he seizes the body of the jellyfish and gives it a squeeze. His aim is to get the thing to loosen its hold, as yanking at it would likely have rather unfortunate results for this poor person's face.]

II. obligatory thirsty bathing prompt

[Well, the accomodations are several downgrades from the Grand Palace, but Nikolai cannot say he minds too terribly. Not when the water is so soothingly hot against his muscles. The tension of the long and troubling day seems to dissolve from his body, if not from his thoughts. He could do with a bit more privacy, however. It is not so much a matter of modesty — he had learned to concede that when he served in the First Army. It is the scars he prefers to hide from curious eyes. Pitying eyes. The odd black scars marking each finger and veining his hands up to the wrists are blatantly visible as he scrubs at soapy hair and skin. Should he catch a lingering eye, he draws up the cocky sort of grin that sits so easily on his features.]

I know that it must be difficult to resist, but are you certain I'm who you should be paying attention to right now?

III. you'll wear a different chain

[At the top of his lengthy list of concerns pertaining to his situation in this world, and the situation he has left in the country he's supposed to be ruling, there perches one monster of a concern. A monster with sharp talons and teeth and wings that tear up the night sky. He has no Zoya Nazyalensky to depend upon, no Genya, no David, and so he must face the monster alone. I am the monster, and the monster is me.

This is what brings Nikolai to a rather interesting shop, the likes of which he is fairly certain exists nowhere in Ravka. Perhaps on the West Stave of Ketterdam it would find business. People come to the Barrel to satisfy a wide array of curiosities, after all. Collars and harnesses and all manner of leatherwork line the walls of the shop, but what he seeks are the handcuffs winking dangerously from the display. Holding up a pair decorated with neon pink fuzz, he earnestly addresses the shopkeeper:]

Tell me these aren't the sturdiest pair you sell. [His eyebrows arch in an entreating look.] If so, I must confess I am thoroughly disappointed. And I had such high hopes for this fine establishment, too...

[The clerk quickly explains that the more, ah, heavy-duty gear is kept in the back, but she can bring some samples out for him to see. Nikolai thanks him, and the clerk scurries off. At this point, he notices that he's not alone in the shop. He is not in the habit of showing embarrassment, and so he nods politely to the stranger.]

He’s very handsome and Billy does like to appreciate nice things. But it’s also his voice with the accent that draws Billy’s eye and leads him to eavesdropping on the conversation. ]

1. THE JAWS ONE ( A )

[ as shocking as this entire experience had been from start to finish, masatoyo had found some comfort playing with the children of the village. talking to them, he was able to get a better grasp of the kind of place this is and how it works; he felt more at ease with the young humanoid rabbits than with the other guests— not because he didn't enjoy their company, it's just that the other guests all seemed equally confused, and staying there in ignorance together seemed like a bad idea. that's why he decided to walk out of the inn, engaging the local children in conversation and... well, the plan was to make them small taketombo as thanks, but there was no bamboo around so he has to say goodbye to them empty-handed.

after this horrible realization, he starts getting restless about not recognizing any of the flora around, wondering if he'll be able to find anything useful to make medicine in case he needs to. he finds some plants that feel somewhat solid and attempts to make the taketonbo anyway, but it doesn't come out as planned. with a sigh, he keeps it in his hand and starts plucking different types of plants out of the ground but sadly none of them are familiar to him. suddenly, he remembers the girl from back home that came from another world and how she seemed to know more about medicine than others, so maybe one of the other guests will know?

he walks back to the inn, and once inside he approaches the first person there he sees, timidly fanning out the plants in his hand to display them as best as he can, defective taketombo and all. ]

Excuse me, would you happen to know what any of these are?

[ it's important to mention that unfortunately, masatoyo has an extremely weak presence; he can be in a room for hours and go unnoticed, so feel free to be startled by his sudden inquiry. ]

2. ANYTHING ELSE

[ shino has been his own bubble of misery even after bathing and cleaning up. the fact he's hanging in the inn's common room has more to do with his need not to be alone than anything else. not that he's doing much socialising, more watching people as they come through and growing increasingly more gloomy as none of them resolve into home-familiar faces.

having a stranger approach and timidly showcase plants he's unfamiliar with is a distraction he latches onto, uncurling from himself somewhat so he can lean closer, hair loose over his shoulders and falling off them as he moves. ]

[ Is there a blatant compliment woven into that matter of fact statement of hers? There's several, actually, not that Setsura is anywhere remotely near ashamed at having been caught because, well, she hadn't been hiding in the first place. His voice had drawn her attention from a distance given her superior hearing and when she'd realized she recognized the language, it was worth the walk to investigate despite the tiredness that seemed to cling to her. When she'd found the source and realized she couldn't sense even the barest trace of spiritual energy from him at a glance, that had made it that much more appealing to indulge her curiosity, take a seat at the edge of the spring a medium-safe distance away given that curious discrepancy about this stranger, and enjoy the show.

Also, those tattoos, at which she's been attempting to get a better look for the past five minutes, wondering after them and any potential story there. There's little point in -- well, again, she wasn't hiding anything! Nada. Zilch. It's a public spring, anyway. ]

What sort of price would you put on something like that, anyway?

[ As though that's the sort of casual thing anyone would ask anyone in this situation, but then, when you grow up in a mercenary society and managing your business and livelihood on that level is a day to day thing, you think about things a little differently. i. Jellyfish

[ Sparks fly and Zero is out of his seat when a small fire gains traction nearby. He takes off his jacket to smother the flames when a swarm of jellyfish spill from the panel pushing past him to invade the ship. He shoves off the few that cling to him and goes to help the rest of the passengers deal with the unwanted attention. ]

ii. Sealions

[ The in-flight movie sucked, the fire was a no go, and the jellyfish were no fun either so when they're forced to make an emergency landing, Zero figures his bad luck finally reached its third and final form. Oh, boy is he wrong.

The landing is decent, they even make a semi-orderly exit onto the lifeboats where he's seated with another passenger. Their boat is launched and that's when the sea lions come in. At first, they seem friendly, coming out of the water to swim next to them. Then, one of them gets bold and nudges the raft. It's all fun and games until the damn thing starts chewing on their lifeline. The rest of the lifeboats seem to be getting the same attention and some have even toppled over which has Zero on alert. ]

Will you stop biting on that.

[ He snaps, shoving it off with unnatural strength. He manages to get it off the boat but it just keeps coming back. ]


iii. Exploring

[ By midday Zero enters the Greatmoon Grove. He navigates his way through the area taking in the local culture while counting off the rangers and knights patrolling the crescent moon-shaped watchtowers.

By the time, the sun starts to set, Zero makes his way back to his apartment but first, he has to figure out how to get back. He asks someone nearby how to get back to the downtown area and with their help makes it back to his apartment late at night where he runs into one of his new neighbors. ]

[Margulis had already been making an awkwardly pointed effort to not pay attention to the in-flight movie, given the...genre of the film, so the slight turbulence gets his immediate attention. As thoroughly experienced as he is with space travel, he knows what normal reentry turbulence is like...and this isn't it. As such, he's already on edge when the ship starts shaking violently, and is quick to his feet when the jellyfish burst into the cabin.

Fortunately for him, the intruding creatures use electricity, which he's able to shrug off fairly easily. Unfortunately, they seem especially drawn to him, and he finds himself slashing at wave after wave of them. His speed is superhuman, but...something seems off about it, to him. It's tiring him out more than it should, and the jellyfish that manage to attach to him before being burned off by a small tongue of flame don't help. He finds himself slowing down, unable to maintain his enhancements, well before the assault is over. Worse, he's looking fatigued and out of breath...]

[By the time the ship lands, Margulis is exhausted. His injuries appear minor, but he leans against the wall as he disembarks, struggling to stay upright. At this rate, he'll be a sitting duck for any local predators.]

[ Since finding herself on a completely different planet than the one she expected to be on - and waking up on one at all, for that matter - Natasha had been doing pretty well at taking most things in stride, surprisingly enough. Then again, she's in another dimension, in space, and definitely not as dead as she expected to be, so after all that, she could afford to not sweat so many of the small things.

Space jellyfish eating their way through the outer hull of their spaceship, however, was a little concerning. Especially when those same jellyfish started latching onto anything tech in the near vicinity. And... was that one going for that person's face?

Launching herself into motion, she dashes to try and interfere before the stranger becomes a new kind of abyssal horror or maybe just a tentacle-controlled zombie or something. That seems likely, right? ]

B. Obligatory Hot Springs Episode

[ After surviving the rest of the flight and then the welcoming party of hostile seals, Natasha might be looking a little worse for wear. Not to mention she'd been a little banged up before arriving, as well. When their rabbit hosts offer up their hot springs for some relaxation, she's one of the ones eager to take them up on it. That honestly sounds like heaven right about now.

So she's wandering along the path with a rabbit guide, joking with him and very politely turning down the third offer for company in the baths, because he seems to have taken a shine to her? Or her hair, she's not sure which, but either way, as she steps into the clearing that holds the hot springs, she's already looking around for a convenient escape so she can evade her host without somehow offending him. And his very healthy virility, apparently.

[ Since she'd arrived here with literally only the clothes on her back, Natasha's happy to accept the apology compensation for the bumpy arrival trip and head out to find something a little more comfortable and not quite so end-of-the-world chic. She feels like she just stepped into an 80's MTV music video, honestly, especially with all the bright colors and wild shapes and even glow-in-the-dark options. Rather useless in her typical line of work, but amusing as she browses through the options all the same.

Or perhaps just a habit of noting everyone and everything surrounding her. The dangers of space aren't exactly apparent to her right now, since she can't comprehend it.

Instead, she's looking at the clothes on display in the shop window with a slightly awed look in her eyes; she's never seen outfits like these before, but she finds them beautiful if only for how different they are from what she's used to.

She doesn't actually go inside though, no matter how long she's out here. Occasionally she seems to be considering it, but despite her ENORMOUS ONI STRENGTH she can't muster the courage up to actually go inside, settling on standing outside and staring again.

[ It's been a fucking day.

While the whole being-yoinked-to-another-world thing wasn't new to him thanks to some past experiences, this arrival sequence felt altogether much more chaotic than his last, what with the jellyfish, the crash landing, the sea lions... he's never been much of a people person, but right now his mood is outright foul. The only saving grace is that they've finally made it to something resembling civilization, and he can get some freaking sleep. The inn is pretty crowded with the sudden influx of crash survivors, of course, which means he's going to be stuck with a roommate for the night, but whatever. It's fine.

The room that they end up in only has one bed, maybe big enough for two if they were to pack in tight... but Mercury wastes no time in flopping back-first onto it, hands clasped behind his head. From the way he's sprawled, there's definitely not room for two. ]

You're going to take the floor? Thanks for volunteering! Real team player.

[ No one ever volunteered that. It doesn't seem like Mercury is going to be easily persuaded to move, though... ]

[ Mercury might have grown up pretty isolated in the mountains, but even his shack of a home at least had running water. Its absence is definitely noticed, especially when he has to take a trek out into nature to wash up (which he sorely needs; he got his fair share of kicks in on jellyfish and sea creature alike, and monster-killing is sweaty work). He could probably live without cleaning up for a day, but it also seems like a good chance to get away from the over-crowded inn. Too many annoying people, too many feel-good attitudes, it makes him a little sick. A quiet midnight bath away from all the noise feels like a good idea.

He's just approaching the edge of the spring, shirt already removed and slung over his shoulder, when it becomes readily apparent that someone else is just reaching the opposite side of it. He stares across the spring at them, head cocked to one side. ]

Soooooo you're gonna have to leave. I'm way too bashful to share a bath.

Yeah... no, that's not going to happen.

He waits a bit to see if any of them come out, but after a few minutes he walks right up to the first door and bangs his fist on it. ]

[ while bathing is incredibly nice and something that caduceus takes advantage of after the rough trip, he's also quite interested in the chinchillas that are roaming the baths, making sure that predators give a wide berth (if any) around the sanctum. long rosy hair piled on top of his head with a few pins and water clinging to the short, soft fur on his shoulders, cad sits in the springs languishing in the warmth while chatting with one chinchilla in particular who seems brave enough to come close and push its head into his large fingers. ]

A - arrival

[ Valmont has just about had it. He's just come out the other side of an long and extremely unpleasant demonic possession - you'd think the universe would give him a few days to rest, but is he so lucky? Of course not. Bloody supernatural shenanigans that ruin his life. He is done. But ranting about it - which he does at first, at length, out loud - won't help him survive in this stupid world, so he eventually starts picking his way through the crystalline landscape, occasionally still ranting aloud when the mood strikes him.

It's a surprise when the Moon Knights show up and escort him and fellow newcomers to the government center, but once Valmont learns that those who've come here from other worlds are considered Special and Important... well, he doesn't need to get an even bigger head about himself. So maybe it's a good thing that he's distracted when, in the course of their "Prismatica and You" spiel, the scientist briefing him casually mentions the functions of Chroma. ]

I'm sorry, what? You people don't - you don't use money?

[ They get that reaction a lot, laughs the scientist, but in fact Chroma has several advantages compared to the "money" used on other worlds! It's always on your person, it's fun to produce, you don't have to worry about it getting stolen - ]

B - jellyfish attack

[ Oh boy guess who's Iris and doesn't know it yet. Valmont is currently absolutely swarming with jellyfish, especially in the area of his face. His poor, beautiful, until-recently-unmarred-by-jellyfish face. As he pulls one of the little blighters off his left cheek, wincing as it detaches, two more squelchily attach themselves to the right. ]

Rrrrgh -

[ Valmont flings the jellyfish to the ground, off of which it bounces indifferently. With his now-free hand, he pops open the top part of the cane he's been carrying, revealing the crackle of a laser sword. He is this close to just trying to fry all the jellyfish he can see - not that he can see very well with a face full of jellyfish, so if someone wanted to step in and help (either out of concern for him or the people around him), now might be a good time. Or if someone just wanted to watch a dude make a fool of himself. Might be a good time for that too. ]

C - obligatory hot spring episode

[ He's taking a bath. That's it, that's the prompt. He made it through that whole jellyfish debacle, the boat ride here, and the unnecessarily overshare-y locals, after all of which Valmont feels he's earned a spot of relaxation. So there he is, in the spring bath, chilling, hair down, generally just looking pretty. This is a semi-smut game and life's too short, ok. ]

D - that sweater

[ They may not use actual money here (and Valmont's still working on processing that fact), but a discount is a discount, and this Prissy Polyp place certainly looked classy enough from the outside. The actual wares, though... leave something to be desired. Valmont's trying to determine if anyone here has ever actually heard of a suit when a salesperson suddenly foists a folded sweater on him, going off on a pitch about its special touch-repellent properties.

Well, it is green, if about five shades brighter of a green than he would have chosen, and the whole defensive aspect intrigues him - that could come in handy in his line of work. Besides, a sweater should be a reasonably safe clothing choice, right?

[ A dip in a hot spring sounds amazing after the day he’s had, so he doesn’t even have to be convinced to follow the human rabbit to the spring. EVen if he’s still trying to wrap his head around humanoid rabbits, and even if he needs to keep brushing away its advances. He’s married afterall…

Once he shakes them he finds a secluded area and strips off his clothes, sinking down into the water with a grateful sigh. ]

[ It’s a good thing, in the end, that he had that wind-slasher, as it’s extremely effective on space jellyfish, slicing through them like a knife through, well, jelly. He’s good enough with the thing that he can cut one to pieces even while it’s attached to you, without harming even so much as a hair on your person. Sorry about all the sticky goo this creates, however. It sure does splat, even upon innocent bystanders. ]

III. I feel happy, I feel happy

[ He’d sort of been able to deal with all of this; even the spaceship crash was nothing to get too excited about, as the flying machines of Great Liang are known to crash from time to time as well. But ending up in a village full of rabbit people sporting their bunny boners, well. That started to make him question his existence, if not his sanity. Going out for a soak in the hot spring was supposed to calm his nerves, but the sight of little scintilla chinchillas going about shocking two-headed wolf-snakes and the like… well, he can hardly be blamed for drawing an obvious conclusion: all of this is just the last hallucinatory ravings of a man dying of battle injuries and blood loss. Which is actually pretty freeing, come to think of it.

He decides to free himself, too, from his clothes right then and there. He’s not the type to sit five feet apart from anyone, so he’s probably going to plop down right next to you and exclaim cheerily: ]

IV. Whop! Ah, thanks very much

[ He’s outside on the street, trying to get a feeling for his surroundings. His medicine has worn off by now, and the world’s become a much darker, quieter place. He needs help, but that would require… confiding in somebody. The idea makes his stomach go instantly sour, a feeling of nausea rising in his throat. That sensation isn’t helped at all when he feels himself step on something; he can feel the thing shatter under his feet.

Which is how you might come upon a man being shouted at by a street vendor, who’s been selling exquisitely-crafted, mind-meltingly cute, rabbit-eared puppy robots, artificial pets to provide you with love and companionship for a lifetime. One of them is pitifully flattened, crushed beyond all recognition. Despite the vendor’s cries of watch where you’re going! and are you blind? and that’ll be 500 Chroma, the man just keeps smiling and after a while simply asks: ]

[ Ah, this poor...seemingly rather clumsy man. Shi Qingxuan watched that whole thing transpire from beginning to end. He has to wonder what must be going through that man's head as he's yelled at like that especially since, when he finally speaks, Shi Qingxuan has no idea if he's talking to him or the vendor—but it has to be him, right? Asking a vendor something like that after destroying their wares is just cruel!

Rather, he stands there leaning against whatever wall is closest to him and puffing away on a cigarette. No, not even the overheard sparks will stop him from enjoying one.

With a blow of smoke up toward the ceiling, he hums, seeming thoughtful. ]

[ Though his thoughtful words give an almost gentle sort of reassurance to them, they lead to a rather wicked smile then, a particular madness twinkling in his eyes as he flicks some ashes away. ]

A vengeful spirit man with refined taste, the bright colours and gawdy patterns are more of n eyesore to him than anything he would consider to be fashion and he flicks through hanger after hanger on rack after rack to try and find something more to his taste. Honestly, where are the capes and puffy shirts?

But hats are what he chooses to try on since they don't look that bad in terms of his taste and he's going to be taking about ten or twenty (yes that's right) of them with him into the nearest fitting room.

Which just may happen to have an occupant in it.

And no, he doesn't bother to check as he yanks open the curtain. ]

[ Fitting room mishaps aside, when he finally gets his own, he's brought in some clothing with him simply for the hell of it. A particular pair of skin-tight pants (though they didn't look that tight on the rack) seem to have piqued his interest and as he slips into them within the confines of the fitting room, he suddenly starts to feel things which he hasn't felt for quite a number of years now and he is both shocked and confused and perhaps even blushing a touch.

Shit. He really needs a smoke right about now. But his cigarettes were left out on the counter with the many many hats he had tried on and going from here to there while feeling these things is sure to be a trial all in itself. But. He wants his cigarettes.

He bites at the knuckle of his index finger, recalling ways in which one can just ignore this before he slowly starts to make his leave from the fitting room and for that counter with his cigarettes. Step by step. Inch by inch. Almost... there... and the pack (along with the many many hats) just so happens to get knocked off the counter in his fumbling attempt to grab them and hurry back.

If he's quick (and he certainly wants to be) he can just drop down here, grab his cigarettes, and get the hell back in the fitting room. Please no one see him or offer to help. ]

[ Weird enough waking up on some planet. Well, maybe not as weird as it could be. For Shogo, he's used to being stuck in a simulation -- maybe Mobius went haywire, maybe Mu saw one too many 80s space movies. Either way, he's going to assume this is all a simulation. It doesn't surprise him that everyone seems to have an answer to all of his questions, though he has to admit this world is a lot better made than the old one.

Necessity has made him bring out his Catharsis Effect, meaning he's carrying a revolver that's almost as tall as he is and using it to shoot at the flying lions that are currently trying to nibble at his (your?) lifeboat. [ Okay, it's been a hectic day. Between fighting off jellyfish, flying "sea" lions and landing in the water, Shogo is pretty sure he's had enough of this weird new setting.
