You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. Even the few shy moon creatures you find in the wild have strange crystal growths on their hides. This is far from home— perhaps a dream? You pinch your skin and slap your cheeks, yet nothing seems to do the trick. Searching for answers yields nothing but an endless expanse of purple dust as far as the eye can see. You have four options: one, panic; two, soil yourself; three, admire it all then soil yourself; or four, go into survival mode. Eventually, you’ll realize that you’re not alone.

After a day or two of living off the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. After the strange phenomenon during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.

You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? Why did I accidentally swallow the worm at the bottom of my tequila? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay.

While waiting for transport to be prepared, you may freely roam around the government center. Eventually you’re called back from exploring, escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel that makes frequent trips back and forth between the moons and the planet. Faces onboard vary from both old and new Moonblessed as well as the local Prismals. The next destination: Prismatica.

▶ I Heat Up, I Can’t Cool Down

Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

 A  Settle in your new home at Level 2 to find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.

Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.

 B  After settling into your apartment, you notice a shiny silver indestructible mechanoid cube with a pair of tiny stag horns attached to it. The card attached says that it’s a gift from the Lunatian government. One touch of the cube makes it hover in place, light up brightly, and play the classic hit Last Firalia by Blam! on repeat. By the 7th listen, you get hot under your collar, beads of sweat forming on your temples and rolling down your neck, and your breath grows labored. By the 17th listen, you’re all but ready to burst into flames — a stark contrast to the plummeting temperature outdoors.

A bit of vigorous moonlacing should keep you from growing too hot and bothered indoors. Or you could simply decide to chuck the cube out the window and let it be someone else’s problem. That won't really stop it, though. The music only stops once the cube picks up enough Chroma in the atmosphere generated via moonlacing, so go forth, and spread the Firialia lust, love, and cheer!

▶ It’s the Moose Wonderful Time of the Year
City of Lunatia | top

In the city of Lunatia, the streets are emblazoned with beautiful antler decorations, gleaming gold and silver along every walkway. Snowflake holograms appear on shop fronts to announce their annual Firialia sales, and Prismals are all rushing to buy gifts and make preparations for the upcoming holiday.

According to legend, on one incredibly harsh winter, ancient Prismals were downtrodden and on the verge of starvation when the majestic stag king of the forest, Firi, emerged from his humble kingdom to bring them warm clothing, blankets, and gifts for surviving the biting cold. It is said that his spirit remains on the land even after the Calamity, appearing every winter solstice to bless the Prismals for the new year ahead. Every year, Prismals mount festive wreaths on their door, decorated with stag horns in Firi's honor, and exchange gifts to invite the benevolent spirit of Firi into their homes.

 A  Hanging fake deer antlers is a strong Firialia tradition that has endured for centuries — a success that can be attributed to its magical effects, which often compels two people caught beneath to share a bit of Firialia spirit with one another. One can find these trinkets everywhere, decorating even the most secluded of spaces. The antlers come in three colors:

RED: Causes a dangerous but intense feeling of desire to embrace the person you're with! You will want to roughly pin the closest person to you on a flat surface, passionately kiss, and/or aggressively hold hands.

BLUE: Causes people to want to kiss until they’re out of breath, hands liberally moving across each other’s body, and the errant temptation to go further, but no taking any clothes off in public or the Moon Knights will get you! You’ll simply be eager to tease and kiss beyond the lips and have difficulty feeling sated.

PURPLE: Causes people to want to caress each other's faces affectionately, steal soft kisses, and/or tenderly lace their fingers together. They may also feel compelled to offer up some sweet whispers and compliments!

 B  To combat the cool weather, Prismals will also be handing out cups of warm chocolate moose mousse. This light and creamy dessert is prepared in enchanted moose-shaped cups with a pair of festive graham cookie antlers poking out of it. Prismal traditions include taking a bite and passing it to your neighbor, enabling you to get a glimpse of one another’s Firialia wishlists left unspoken. Fancy a new fishing rod this holiday? Or perhaps that saucy leather subligar you’ve been eyeing since your arrival? The words and images that make up your list appear before whoever eats your mousse, so who knows? Maybe you might get it this Firilia...

▶ Are You Not Entertained?
Level 1, PrismaPlace | top

After the long wait and preparations, the League Match Action Online (LmaO) preliminary qualification rounds are now underway at the gaming hub in PrismaPlace in Level 1, as the city will be hosting the LmaO Grand Championship next month. Moonblessed old and new are welcome to take the game for a test drive and participate!

The award-winning VR MOBA boasts amazingly seamless first-person view graphics and a real-time combat mode almost as authentic as real life and guaranteed to wow and amaze. Players can explore and immerse themselves in the fantasy world of LmaO, where they can create their own avatars and either fight with or against players from Lunatia and the Kingdom of Lyestellus for glory and loot!

In co-op mode, you will be battling a selection of huge beasts chosen at random. The most notorious among them is Ogma the Dread Ogre, who has high defense and pesky unavoidable attacks. PVP mode pits you against other players, and getting KO’d three times in a row or having your base captured is a loss for you and your team. Fun mode featuring mini-games such as virtual basketball, rhythm step action, beat sword, and many more. Winning any of these modes nets you loads of in-game gold that can be used to buy aesthetic skins, cute in-game pets, fun game emotes, furniture for your in-game house, or weapon and skill upgrades to make you stronger for the next round!

Event emcees will be recruiting anyone passing by for the preliminaries and showing them into fully-equipped private rooms for teams of two to eight players. Each player will be given virtual headsets and tight suits for immersion and communication. Prismal players may be recruited with Moonblessed teams if necessary.

 A  The scenario for the preliminaries is a majestic coliseum filled with gladiators of all ages and species. In LmaO, weapon choices are currently limited to any melee and ranged weapons you'd find in an ambitious fantasy RPG setting (read: you can find dual swords and grimoires but also gunblades), including an elemental magic system of water, fire, wind, earth, dark and light. Choose your weapon and, with your team, fight for the top spot!

As you begin to battle, you notice that the more you get hit, the more your physical body shows visceral reactions to the attacks. Outside of the game, you lose balance. Bruises appear out of nowhere and mar on your skin. You earn minor abrasions and bleed. It’s possible to feel the sweat or saliva of other players or bots, the sensation of their virtual hands grappling you, or their teeth sinking into your shoulder as they bite. It's a new, tantalizing world of virtual stimulation.

 B  For those of you more interested in the glamour aspects of LmaO, you are welcome to compete against other players in either the in-game or a real glam-a-thon. Festive LmaO cosplayers will be scattered around the venue, dressed in colorful costumes of characters from the game, such as the ridiculously cool cyborg Kenji and the flirty immortal fox mage Yeri. As for the in-game contestants, they are located on a bright sparkling stage. Large monitors at PrismaPlace can be seen livestreaming everything.

Some of the many competitors are dressed in colorful gear, including stylish himations, risque chitons, and a bevy of glittery, neon gladiator sandals. Challenge other players to a fashion walk-off on the raised catwalk. Score high enough on either contests, and you will win an ultra-rare Firialia plump moose mount in-game. You are welcome to invite others on a scenic moose ride after as the plump moose very slowly waddles across the virtual snowfields and exhibits its adorable built-in feature where it decides to take a nap every few minutes.

( By the time Ayato leaves his apartment out of irritation at the song that doesn't end, it's been firmly planted in his mind. Nothing he does seems to get the damned song out of his head at all; no amount of walking and exploring or talking to the locals.

It's frustrating, to say the least; he nearly lets one of the lyrics slip in a conversation. As the locals have told him how to, at least, get the song to stop, he's looking high and low for a moonlacing partner, panting and absolutely worn-looking.

How embarrassing. )

( Ayato has been here for only a little while, and as a ghoul, one of his first concerns when he landed was food. Back home, they were developing artificial food that ghouls could sustain themselves on ... Would they have that here, or something akin? Would the natives even satisfy him if he ate them?

Maybe, since this place seems much more tech-forward and, well, inundated with magic, the food they provide is enough for him and people like him.

When he tries some of the mousse ⁠— because it might as well be something allegedly sweet ⁠— he gags and immediately passes it to the person to his left. His eyes change, then; black sclera and red iris, outing him immediately as a ghoul. )

He's seen people far scarier than Ayato in his day to day life, so when it's passed on he just turns the antler to a place that hasn't had the man's teeth in it. He takes a bite, considers the flavor, and then gets a view of something unexpected.

A. ARRIVAL
[Surviving in nature has never been a problem for Persephone, she’s a nature goddess after all. The animals come to her if she wants them to, though she’s not about to kill one for sentience. Instead, she turns to any plants she finds for that, or make an attempt at growing them herself. Something that wouldn’t be an issue back home but she finds after growing a couple of fruit-bearing trees that she feels so very tired. This very pink young woman might be found moving slowly before help arrives, or simply resting beneath one of her trees.


B. FEELING THE HEAT
[The cube is strange and curiosity gets the best of Persephone. The tune is surprisingly catchy and she finds herself humming along to it before long. And then she begins to feel strange. It reminds her of when Eros plied her with too many drinks so he could do his mother’s bidding and put her in the back of Hades car. She feels warm and a little fuzzy. She tries to turn the device off but for the life of her can’t find an off switch.]

Why won’t you stop? [She muses aloud, a crown of white flowers blooming around her head as her hair grows a few inches. The heat is distressing and the music is starting to grate on her nerves. She picks it up and begins to carry it from the apartment, unsure what she’s going to do with it exactly. She simply knows she wants to dump it somewhere. Anywhere.]

[ the city is buzzing with that kind of neon electric energy that six isn't used to.

not only that, but no matter where he looks, everything is unfamiliar; things he can't recognize, shops he has never seen, types of being that remind him so much of erune... but not. there are others too, ones with long tentacles and slimy appendages, others with wings and horns and—

he has to tear his gaze away before he loses himself just wondering where he could be. there are other more pressing matters anyway: like how the city officials are telling him to go pick out a unit! any unit! it's all free. you can stay there for as long as you'd like and never have to pay a cent. the disbelief comes easily to him because he knows nothing in life doesn't ever come with a price, but he might as well see what's up with this.

so if you happen to be the unlucky occupant of the room he's chosen, don't be too scared to see one masked individual barging right into the comforts of your own home. he realizes there's someone else here with him but he doesn't apologize or anything like that.

instead, he's showing all the signs of being the one bothered by your presence (even if he's the intruder here). ]

[ after his living arrangements have been squared away, six immediately stalks out of the place to gather compile a mental map of the city for himself. while it feels like he's been forced into some kind of weird vacation (probably that strange leader of his' idea, if he has to entertain the thought), it's hard to teach new tricks to a dog like him, even harder still to break him out of old survivalist habits.

he finds himself in the thick of the winter festivities, with prismals and moonblessed alike partaking in everything. this isn't really something he's all that interested in participating with so he does his best to stay out of sight, out of mind, navigating his way through the lesser populated alleyways and streets, but sooner or later, it catches up to him.

OPTION A.

[ someone - maybe it's you or maybe it's a random prismal - grabs him by the hand and drags him over to stand underneath a set of antlers. the colour is unknown because he isn't looking at that or paying any attention to it. more importantly, you're stuck with him now too.

it's hard to say what kind of expression he's wearing because of the mask but his voice makes it obvious enough. ]

[Konoha hailed from a world and land without comparable traditions to the ones on display here, that quite a few Moonblessed had compared to something called a "Christ's Mass". "Christ Mess?" Something like that. Sure, she knew prayers for short winters and harvest festivals and the new year, but...

This is a lot.

Still, it seems mostly nice, some of the antlers aside, and she's always up to try a new food... and this chocolate moose mousse tastes really good! (Just don't talk to her in a few hours when she realizes equine-intestine having centaurs shouldn't eat chocolate.)

When the person she leans down towards and tries to pass it to refuses it, though... Konoha blinks, hooves shuffling awkwardly as she stares between his face (well, mask) and the sweet treat, confused as to why he'd reject such a harmless seeming tradition until-]

Oh, I'm sorry... Do you not... Does that not come off... ?

["That" being... She gestures vaguely on her own face to represent his... kind of scary looking mask.]

A. ARRIVAL TO THE AFTER-LIFE? OR NOT???

[ Just when Wu Xingzi accepted the invitation to have lunch with Mister Lu, he found himself floating among the stars. Naturally, he could not help but be a little confused and distressed about his situation.

How did this happen? Why?

These were the sort of questions that he had the first hour, but he soon accepted that he must have died. He wondered if, perhaps, his ancestors were truly enraged that he brought General Pengoris to meet them.

They probably were conversing among themselves to decide if he really deserved death or not, and decided that he did. Wu Xingzi was surprised that they waited so long to take their revenge out on him, but he felt a little like he deserved it.

He also felt in his heart was that he wronged quite a few people in his sudden passing. Mister Lu would have to hear he fell down dead and be naturally troubled by such news; Mint and Osmanthus were probably beside themselves (the two girls were quite sweet and he worried for their hearts in seeing such a shocking sight!); Guan Shanjin would have the problem of shipping his body back to Qingcheng County.

It really was such an inconvenience for so many people.

He could only find solace in a few facts. The first was that he had secured a nice place to be buried which should minimize some of trouble that he caused, and it was such a peaceful, nice spot to be laid to rest. The second was that his pengoris drawings would most assuredly be buried with him, so he could be surrounded by his darlings for all eternity. And the third was that he felt that same tin box pressed against his chest.

So, even if he was alone, he wasn't "alone." It was only a shame that he couldn't look at them as he floated in space. He supposed that it would be asking for too much, anyway, and he should just be happy that they were with him at all.

These were the thoughts that he had until he was rescued. He was surprised to find that he wasn't dead at all, but apparently "spirited away" to some new planet. Wu Xingzi had listened carefully to everything that they said, but he felt that most of it flew completely over his head. It wasn't anything that he could fully understand, but he felt if he asked too many questions that he would be troubling them more than necessary. So, he only nodded his head like he understood.

Even if he couldn't understand anything, Wu Xingzi made certain to thank the people for having found and rescued him -- cupping his hands, he bowed deeply to them as soon as he was able. It was thanks to these people that he was all right, and it didn't seem like they had meant to grab him, anyway, so he didn't see reason why he shouldn't show his gratitude.

Besides, he also was able to look upon his drawings once more. Which he did as soon as he was able to sneak away to make sure that every drawing was in order and had not been damaged at all having been in space for so long. Thankfully, each and every one was accounted for and in fine condition.

He let out a single sigh of relief.

Really, he owed these Prismals his life...

If anyone should happen upon him, they would see him gazing fondly and lovingly at whatever is inside a tin box that he is cradling equally loving in his arms. In fact .... is he crying?! ]

B. I HEAT UP, I CAN'T COOL DOWN

[ What a quaint item that they gifted every room. He really doesn't feel like he's done anything to deserve what has been given to him, but he'll do everything he can to repay the kindness given to him.

Touching the cube, he had only meant to figure out what it was made out of -- before realizing that it was foolish to even try to figure something like that out on an unknown world. But nevermind that! He's ended up hot and bothered and uncertain what to do about it.

Even looking at his darlings isn't enough to soothe his senses. What to do? He pokes his head out of his room -- flushed and looking more than a little embarrassed. ]

Um, uh... hello. [ Really, this is not a way to meet one's neighbors. ]

C. PENPALS??

[ Upon looking at the network, Wu Xingzi was surprised at the messages. He thought that the Moonblessed were truly brave people to honestly write their thoughts out as they did. It also made him wonder if, perhaps, he could ask for the pengoris image of some of the males ...

No, no, no. He couldn't ask something like that!

Even if he could be so bold, his timid nature betrayed him. Not only that, but how could he show his face in public? He was alive now thanks to the Prismals, and while a person did only live once (or twice?), he did not have it in him to make such a shameless request.

But maybe, surely, in their world... they have something similar and would understand...?

Wu Xingzi thought to record his voice, but: ]

Um, uh... um...

[ He stumbles over his own words and gave up, not realizing that he didn't delete it. Video was out of the question, because he had seen how beautiful and good-looking the people of this world was. If he showed his average face, wouldn't that be a slap in theirs for having to see it?

[ There! That should do it! He feels a little embarrassed to have made such a broad statement but hopefully, his sentiment will be understood.

He usually would write that he would want to become life partners, but his fingers stumbled over writing such a thing... he couldn't bring himself to say something so shameless especially since it wasn't true (and he wasn't even sure if it would be possible with what little he understood of the world), and so settled on just asking to be "penpals."

That seemed safe and fair to write. Hopefully, his meaning would be understood and he could acquire some more pengoris for his collection.... ]

D. A HUNGRY OLD QUAIL

[ Oh, I wish I was able to eat before coming here...

He thinks of the meal that had gone to waste that Mister Lu had prepared with him in mind. His mouth waters a little as he thinks of what a feast must have been waiting for him, and it makes him feel all the more sorry that it went to waste.

I wonder if they will think that I ran away? I hope that no one was troubled and that Mister Lu was able to eat without worries... Because even if he could not enjoy such a delicious meal, he isn't so small-hearted and small-minded as to not want the person who invited him to lunch to not enjoy what was made.

Wu Xingzi lets out a small sigh as he looks through the window to the food in the restaurant. He doesn't know how much chroma that he has, but he surely doesn't have enough to spend on such extravagance! So, all he can do is swallow back his drool and wonder what he is going to do for food.

As he wonders, his stomach growls. It growls so loud that people around him probably could hear it -- no, they definitely heard it. His face turns bright red as he presses his hands against his stomach to quiet it. ]

[ The Ware Wolf shop certainly delivered, this time around. What it delivered was one (1) set of eagle armor. Now retrofitted with chips that allow it to burn chroma instead of ziliujin, he has a much faster way of searching for newcomers who've found themselves on the Iris moon. Most of the armor of Great Liang is designed to inspire terror, which is why he doesn't land right next to the poor man. It can hardly be counted as rescue if you scare someone to death. ]

[ Everything about this place offends just about every sensibility Jiang Cheng has. It has none of the serenity, the effortless grace of Lotus Pier. It's bright. And loud. And rowdy. And this contraption on his wrist keeps doing everything but what he wants it to.

So find him walking down the street, scowling, smacking his stupid wrist talisman 'communication device' or whatever as it continues to do everything but what he wants, namely cough up a map so he stops being so hopelessly lost. All these streets look the same! Well, no, some of them look so different he feels like he's just wandering from sect to sect architecture-wise, but all of it is so alien in nature that it blends together in his mind. Which way did he come from? Where is he going??

Finally, he just stops in the middle of the walkway and lets out a strangled, frustrated scream. ]

[ Because honestly, he has no idea. He wanted to get some food, but he's so turned around he just wants to stop being lost. But how is he supposed to stop being lost when he doesn't belong in this place?

Then again, Jiang Cheng hasn't belonged much of anywhere in some time now, so maybe it's all the same. ]

First she settles in with her meager possessions, maybe says hello to a new roommate (B-1). She plays with the shifting decorations for a while, settling on a Buddhist temple cloister look. Then she picks up and fiddles with the cube - and smiles at the song.]

[Three repeats in it's getting annoying, and she tries and fails to turn it off. Five and she's frustrated - and getting hot under the collar. [She goes to the convention because hell yes, nerdy shit convention, who she was before and who she is now can totes agree they need to go see some of those cosplayers and eat a shitton of takoyaki - and then she sees the VR helmets and she can't deal with it. She wasn't expecting the VR helmets or her reaction but she's breathing hard and her ears and eyes seek an escape route and her tails lash like she's cornered and no, no, no, she can't deal with this, get her out, get her out!

Eventually she turns and runs for the concessions stand or the bathrooms or anywhere people won't be plugging into VR, her distress clear for all to see; will someone notice her panic attack and approach her (C-1)?

Later, much recovered but still staying well away from actual gaming, she wanders the halls checking out the costumes and the people in them. When she's struck by one that's particularly ingenous or sexy, she's moved to stop a cosplayer - or someone she mistakes for one - and say (C-2):]

As he steadily and thoroughly explore each areas, he keep on seeing the fake antlers being hanged. He observed some people being caught underneath, so he try his best to avoid it.

Of course, despite how careful he can be, he's still human after all. Someone must have hang one in an obscure, hard to notice (at first) location. After he accidentally step underneath one, Naoya find himself slowing to a sudden stop. With another person.

... And glances upward. Of course, of course. Ugh.]

I. a house-warming gift
( the apartment is far bigger than legosi is accustomed to. the dorms at cherryton school, the room he rented at the hidden condo... they were incredibly small spaces, and especially for a wolf as tall as he was. but he was used to them — it was no big deal, and it had either been his only option or all he could afford.

is it really okay if I live here? there are rooms. multiple rooms! his own kitchen, his own private bathroom (he doesn't think he's ever had his own bathroom)! a separate bedroom and living room, a balcony... he feels a little overwhelmed.

the place is largely bare, but he finds something odd on the table in the main living space: a shiny silver cube, decorated with what look like... deer antlers? curiosity draws him forward. he reads the card (a gift, from the government...?), and then reaches out to touch the cube. it immediately lights up, hovers, and begins to play music — once, and then again and again. it's kind of loud. legosi's ears pin back, and he hurriedly begins to inspect the object, looking for some sort of off switch. there's nothing, nothing he can find with his eyes or his fingertips, traveling over the device's surface.

perhaps you are passing by in the hall and hear the kerfuffle, or perhaps the music is loud and repetitive enough for you to leave your room and go to ask your new neighbor to turn it down. either way, the door is ajar, and pushing it open shows a tall anthropomorphic wolf scrabbling at a floating silver cube, beginning to sweat as an uncomfortable warmth pools beneath his fur.

he notices you, and embarrassment makes him sweat even more. ) Sorry! I'm... I'm trying to turn it off, but...! ( the song is repeating once more. )

II. gifts of good tidings
a) ( legosi prefers colder weather — it's less of a personal inclination and more of a biological one, when descending from a species with such thick fur. he shrugs on a jacket and wraps himself in a scarf and heads out into the city, eager to see more of a place so fundamentally different from where he's from (and full of so many animals he's never even seen before!).

as he wanders about, his attention is drawn towards the decorations that have been put up around lunatia for this holiday of theirs. he ends up stopping to admire one of the wreaths, eyes resting particularly on the deer antlers that served as the centerpiece. he can't help but think of louis-senpai, wondering how far away he must be — wondering what all was going on back home and whether or not he was safe...

the more he ponders on it, the more his shoulders slump, his tail hanging limply behind him. )

b) ( legosi sits on a bench near a park in the middle of the city, holding a cup of warm chocolate moose mousse in between his hands. the cup (and its similarly-sized plastic spoon) look laughably small in comparison to the size of his paws; nothing he isn't used to, but being raised as he was, he always has a nagging sense of guilt and worry whenever anything draws attention to his hands. it could be considered rude.

he fidgets a moment, glancing furtively to his side to the stranger sitting next to him. he fidgets again, one of his ears flapping, clearly grappling with something. eventually, he speaks up. ) Um... excuse me, ( for such a big wolf, his voice is curiously soft and low, hesitant as he works through his sentences. ) I was told when I was given this that I'm supposed to share it with someone, but...

( his ears droop. he just... doesn't really know anyone here, so... )

III. metal wolf chaos
( legosi is almost bodily hauled off the street by an over-eager barker for the test drive for the new VR game; despite some light struggle and quiet protestation, he ends up in one of the trial rooms, feeling awkward in the group of the other playtesters. it's a feeling that grows even worse when they have to finagle the headgear a little bit to even get it to fit onto his head — it was something more suited to humans and their strange, flat faces, so his muzzle complicated things. after a minute or two of effort, though, he's all suited up, and they are uploaded into the virtual world of the game.

he's never experienced something like this. he's played games, sure — he'd often been goaded into such things on lazier evenings spent in room 701 with the rest of the canid pack. but this... it feels so real? he can't help but look down at his hands, flexing them and examining them, impressed that the avatar managed to look like himself even though most everyone he sees are those odd "human" animals. )

I, um, ( he looks up and addresses one of the other playtesters, tilting his head slightly to one side. ) I wasn't really told... What are we supposed to do in this game? ( he glances around. the setting seems to be some sort of building. a stadium? they seem to be in some kind of waiting room built underneath the overhanging rows and rows of seats, looking out onto the grounds. that... narrows the options, somewhat. ) ...Fighting? Racing?

As she wanders she takes in the decorations, finding herself paying more attention to them than where she's going. Her exploration comes to an abrupt stop as she runs into something...someone large.

She stumbles back in surprise, cheeks darkening to an even pinker tone than her already pink hair and skin. White flowers bloom in her hair as she looks up with wide eyes. He's so tall, especially compared to the small goddess.]

[The first few days before being herded up along with the other newly arrived moonblessed had mostly been spent unconscious- teleporting an entire Starfighter with the power of love kind of took a pretty heavy toll on a guy and included such side effects as spontaneous face bleeding and blinding migraines. Sorry fellow noobies, if you had to haul him around and got bled on. It was just a little. And maybe you even made a few bucks slinging an arm around his shoulder! He definitely was appreciative of the help.

The medical care he'd received after had been enough to get him back fully on his feet, mostly, with the added suggestion of moonlacing to get the rest of the way back up to speed and put a little more pep into his step. Pass. Get settled into his new apartment? Also pass.

He shouldn't be alone. He should probably be dead. Maybe already was, this part of space definitely uncharted and unknown to the Alliance. Either way, someone should have been with him, and desperate determination kept him moving, searching the city. Ducking into shops (bars... probably mostly bars. restaurants? definitely not the fancier cafes or clothing stores) and addressing the patrons within at large for information.]

Please, I'm looking for a man named Cain. Has anyone seen him?

[If he wasn't already dead he was as good as anyway if someone else from the Alliance had managed to end up here, so there was no real point in trying to be covert. He just wanted- needed to know that it hadn't all been for nothing and that he'd been able to save Cain, too. Even if it meant receiving information was the last thing he'd ever do.]

( Waking up with crystals all around her wasn't exactly surprising, but the place the Au Ra woke up in was definitely confusing. What... what was this place? Where was she? This wasn't Eorzea, as far as she could tell, let alone the Far East, and while she could take care of herself in the wilds, she wasn't fond of it. By the time the Knights find her, she's worn out and angry, snapping at them for leaving people in the middle of the wilderness, let alone without any help! She at least goes along with the medical check, and her time in the Moonbase is spent trying to ask questions about this strange place.

It definitely wasn't Eorzea, but apparently the people here had heard of others claiming to be from there, so that was at least somewhat heartening. Perhaps this was another shard then? Another world that she got pulled to? She huffs, hoping that at least someone, anyone familiar was here, and she awaits the trip to the planet anxiously.

Once she's there, and settled in her new apartment, she ventures out, intent on finding people from home. She needs to know what's going on. )

( The parties and festivities remind her of the Starlight Celebrations of Eorzea, something that the people always seem so excited about, and something familiar enough that she goes along with it, looking out over the crowds as she's handed a cup of... something sweet? She gives a quiet thank you, and sips it, seeing that wishlist almost instantly.

Now, what that wishlist is certainly depends on who handed it to her, yes? )

( The strange virtual game reminds her enough of home that she tosses herself into it, eager to fight again, to test her abilities, even if it's just in a "video game" - whatever that is. She focuses on healing, as she does in her own life, but she's not afraid to wield a lance either, showcasing her skills as a dragoon to those familiar with the style.

It's the outfit contest, however, that has her fling herself fully into it. She's into fashion, and playing around with the styles in this game excite her, and she gets intensely into it, putting together an Eastern inspired ensemble, happy to have some control over her clothing again. She models it happily, tossing her hair over her shoulder as she walks down the runway. She's going to win that mount, dammit! )

( because despite being so close, all he feels is the need to pin this person as well as maintain the hand hold. it's enough to annoy the hell out of him, and he's doing his best when it comes making a compromise regarding these compulsions and what feels most natural to him--- which is not this. )

( honestly? even given the opportunity to change what he looked like in a virtual reality setting, he still stuck to his guns when it came to his physique and height: solidly packed with muscle despite being of an average height (a stacked 5'8"). the best way to continue to work on getting more fit for a fight is to clearly train against things that are way stronger than you, and what better test is something meant for more than one person!

except... that's not always how it works, and caspar knows he's made a bad choice once he's knocked into the air and then spiked into the ground like a volleyball. )

III.) unfortunately, sitting doesn't recover HP very quickly

( but after all of that, caspar's not expecting to feel like he's been through a ringer or two; literally, as he pulls off the VR equipment and spots the bruises and scratches, including one particular mark that stings as he raises his right arm to inspect his sides. with a frazzled expression and a gently sloped frown, he gets himself away toward some kind of open space with round tables and chairs, complete with what looks to be snacks and drinks for resting and relaxing after a match.

he's able to get himself into a chair before immediately putting his face down and groans. there isn't a part of caspar that doesn't ache and without a vulnerary, he can't really take care of himself.

with a terse sigh, he's reminded how alone he is. )

a) [ The city looks so beautifully decorated for the winter season, it's hard not to just wander around to take in the sights. After all, she's not exactly sure how else to explain to Reinhardt what she'd gotten roped into without some kind of visual evidence.

As she continues to explore, she continues noticing antlers hanging from ceilings and dangling between corridors and doorways. That's awfully strange. She's never seen a decoration like that before. On occasion she'll pass closer to the antlers to investigate them more closly, touching them to feel how sturdy they are or figure out if the colors are natural or painted over. ]

how... real it feels definitely startles her. she seems surprisingly resilient to the supposed real-life bruises - and feel free to comment on that - but eventually gets dumped into the co-op mode to try that out.

After being directed to the housing accommodations, she’s carefully making her way through the different complexes to see what are offered. For the most part, she’s found herself at unoccupied apartments, so she doesn’t expect to open the door of a stylish little bungalow to find another person standing there.

She glances to her right, and almost jumps right out of her skin when she’s presented with someone new. And, true to form, she’s startled enough that she accidentally freezes two patches of ice on the floor. ]

[ Wow, this cube. How weird and somehow adorable? If her sister happened to be around, Elsa probably would have suggested it as a gift for Kristoff. Reindeer have antlers, after all, and no matter how odd it is when Kristoff talks for Sven, Elsa is still willing to indulge her sister’s boyfriend.

Until the cube is on a fourth play of its song.

After the fourth, Elsa is trying to find some way to turn it off.

After the fifth, she freezes the entire cube into a little block of ice.

[ It may have taken a little coaxing, but Elsa makes an appearance at the LmaO debut. When an emcee spots her and offers to show her to a private room, she hesitates at first, but with some cajoling, she’s willing to give it a shot. She isn’t interested in the more competitive options involving battle, but she does like the mini games offered in “fun” mode.

Instead of using guns, however, the mini game is centered around light blasted from the player’s hands, for the purpose of hitting less threatening targets: silly cartoon creatures with numbered scores on their sides. The VR environment itself is three-dimensional, which means the targets pop up from all angles, requiring the players to move around the simulated environment as the targets appeared at random.

That does, however, mean that light is flying every which way.

Elsa spins on her heel, firing off a blue bolt that – she realizes too late – blasts dangerously close to another player before it makes contact with a 500 point horse. She winces, calling out from across the field: ]

He pays no mind to the decorations in the city as he wanders, wondering if it'd be possible for him to do some kind of job searching while he's there. Might as well, since he has nothing better to do other than babysit and annoying cat.

1. Arrival of some kind

[He didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment. It was empty, it had none of his stuff and it was strange. Colder than the winter almost, in spite of heating. He spent some time staring at the empty living room and decided to grab the winter coat and head outside. Souji is not looking forward to returning to sleep there if he's going to be honest, but a bed's a bed.

He's scouring shops, one by one, slowly; there's no rush in his step and he curiously peers at many vendors and steps inside some shops. There's one that sells really pretty scarves; the second one had all the Christmas ornaments displayed; the third shop was selling all kinds of ugly, festive sweaters with actual wooden antlers on them; and the fourth shop was something he could actually afford to buy with what little chroma he has- roasted chestnuts. He gets a full box and it warms up his hands as he holds it, giving a short nod to the seller. A tap on his shoulder and he turns around- he knows you? he doesn't know you?- either way, he smiles and apologizes.]

2. The MOOS wonderful time of year

[Souji ends up with an actual box with antlers of all kinds. How these things keep happening to him, even when he's so far away from home, is astoundingly unnerving. He just helped out an old grandma downstairs to get some of her heavier boxes inside of her apartment and in return, he got a full box with antlers. He... doesn't really need any. Well, maybe one, blue color looks nice (though yellow and orange are still his favorite), so he'll take one of those.

But the rest... he really doesn't know what to do with them.

When he hears footsteps nearby, he perks up and looks over, someone was coming up! Great! Maybe he can give away some of these to the others!]

Hi! [He greets the person when they finally reach his floor.] Would you like a decoration for your door? [...too friendly? Nah.]

3. The Winter Blues

[Feeling a bit blue, Souji takes a seat inside one of the park gazebos and sighs. He had to leave the apartment because someone threw out that singing cube near his door and boy did that drain him from that weird chroma. He had to get away from it.

The fresh, chilly winter air helped when it became a bit too hot, but now it left him with a drained and tired feeling ever since he got away from the singing.

Well, at least he has somewhere to sit. Also... it's starting to snow... pretty.]

Of course when he goes into co-op, his team gets Ogma. Nothing like learning by landing in the deep end. Kurama makes a surprised sound as an unavoidable AoE slams into them.]

[Honestly, Orihime really likes that song. The effects? Not so much! If it could be regulated, the heat the cube generates would be really helpful during the cold of winter. But once it hits a certain point, the heat definitely gets to be a bit much.]

[She winces as she hears the song approaching, not eager to be put in that situation again, but she can't really refuse someone in need. At the polite call, Orihime turns, just to make sure she's the one being addressed. She is. And seeing the way Kurama is holding the cube with such obvious disdain, she can't help feeling sympathetic as a wry little smile warms her face.]

Chroma will shut it off, so if you moonlace with somebody, it'll eventually shut down. If you're lucky and can find two people already doing that, you can probably use theirs. You just kind of have to muffle it enough that the song doesn't disturb them.
