You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. Even the few shy moon creatures you find in the wild have strange crystal growths on their hides. This is far from home— perhaps a dream? You pinch your skin and slap your cheeks, yet nothing seems to do the trick. Searching for answers yields nothing but an endless expanse of purple dust as far as the eye can see. You have four options: one, panic; two, soil yourself; three, admire it all then soil yourself; or four, go into survival mode. Eventually, you’ll realize that you’re not alone.

After a day or two of living off the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. After the strange phenomenon during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.

You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? Why did I accidentally swallow the worm at the bottom of my tequila? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay.

While waiting for transport to be prepared, you may freely roam around the government center. Eventually you’re called back from exploring, escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel that makes frequent trips back and forth between the moons and the planet. Faces onboard vary from both old and new Moonblessed as well as the local Prismals. The next destination: Prismatica.

I Heat Up, I Can’t Cool Down
Iris Moon, Government Center (Arrival) and Planet Prismatica, City of Lunatia | top

Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

A  Settle in your new home at Level 2 to find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.

Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.

B  After settling into your apartment, you notice a shiny silver indestructible mechanoid cube with a pair of tiny stag horns attached to it. The card attached says that it’s a gift from the Lunatian government. One touch of the cube makes it hover in place, light up brightly, and play the classic hit Last Firalia by Blam! on repeat. By the 7th listen, you get hot under your collar, beads of sweat forming on your temples and rolling down your neck, and your breath grows labored. By the 17th listen, you’re all but ready to burst into flames — a stark contrast to the plummeting temperature outdoors.

A bit of vigorous moonlacing should keep you from growing too hot and bothered indoors. Or you could simply decide to chuck the cube out the window and let it be someone else’s problem. That won't really stop it, though. The music only stops once the cube picks up enough Chroma in the atmosphere generated via moonlacing, so go forth, and spread the Firialia lust, love, and cheer!

It’s the Moose Wonderful Time of the Year
City of Lunatia | top

In the city of Lunatia, the streets are emblazoned with beautiful antler decorations, gleaming gold and silver along every walkway. Snowflake holograms appear on shop fronts to announce their annual Firialia sales, and Prismals are all rushing to buy gifts and make preparations for the upcoming holiday.

According to legend, on one incredibly harsh winter, ancient Prismals were downtrodden and on the verge of starvation when the majestic stag king of the forest, Firi, emerged from his humble kingdom to bring them warm clothing, blankets, and gifts for surviving the biting cold. It is said that his spirit remains on the land even after the Calamity, appearing every winter solstice to bless the Prismals for the new year ahead. Every year, Prismals mount festive wreaths on their door, decorated with stag horns in Firi's honor, and exchange gifts to invite the benevolent spirit of Firi into their homes.

A  Hanging fake deer antlers is a strong Firialia tradition that has endured for centuries — a success that can be attributed to its magical effects, which often compels two people caught beneath to share a bit of Firialia spirit with one another. One can find these trinkets everywhere, decorating even the most secluded of spaces. The antlers come in three colors:

RED: Causes a dangerous but intense feeling of desire to embrace the person you're with! You will want to roughly pin the closest person to you on a flat surface, passionately kiss, and/or aggressively hold hands.

BLUE: Causes people to want to kiss until they’re out of breath, hands liberally moving across each other’s body, and the errant temptation to go further, but no taking any clothes off in public or the Moon Knights will get you! You’ll simply be eager to tease and kiss beyond the lips and have difficulty feeling sated.

PURPLE: Causes people to want to caress each other's faces affectionately, steal soft kisses, and/or tenderly lace their fingers together. They may also feel compelled to offer up some sweet whispers and compliments!

B  To combat the cool weather, Prismals will also be handing out cups of warm chocolate moose mousse. This light and creamy dessert is prepared in enchanted moose-shaped cups with a pair of festive graham cookie antlers poking out of it. Prismal traditions include taking a bite and passing it to your neighbor, enabling you to get a glimpse of one another’s Firialia wishlists left unspoken. Fancy a new fishing rod this holiday? Or perhaps that saucy leather subligar you’ve been eyeing since your arrival? The words and images that make up your list appear before whoever eats your mousse, so who knows? Maybe you might get it this Firilia...

Are You Not Entertained?
Level 1, PrismaPlace | top

After the long wait and preparations, the League Match Action Online (LmaO) preliminary qualification rounds are now underway at the gaming hub in PrismaPlace in Level 1, as the city will be hosting the LmaO Grand Championship next month. Moonblessed old and new are welcome to take the game for a test drive and participate!

The award-winning VR MOBA boasts amazingly seamless first-person view graphics and a real-time combat mode almost as authentic as real life and guaranteed to wow and amaze. Players can explore and immerse themselves in the fantasy world of LmaO, where they can create their own avatars and either fight with or against players from Lunatia and the Kingdom of Lyestellus for glory and loot!

In co-op mode, you will be battling a selection of huge beasts chosen at random. The most notorious among them is Ogma the Dread Ogre, who has high defense and pesky unavoidable attacks. PVP mode pits you against other players, and getting KO’d three times in a row or having your base captured is a loss for you and your team. Fun mode featuring mini-games such as virtual basketball, rhythm step action, beat sword, and many more. Winning any of these modes nets you loads of in-game gold that can be used to buy aesthetic skins, cute in-game pets, fun game emotes, furniture for your in-game house, or weapon and skill upgrades to make you stronger for the next round!

Event emcees will be recruiting anyone passing by for the preliminaries and showing them into fully-equipped private rooms for teams of two to eight players. Each player will be given virtual headsets and tight suits for immersion and communication. Prismal players may be recruited with Moonblessed teams if necessary.

A  The scenario for the preliminaries is a majestic coliseum filled with gladiators of all ages and species. In LmaO, weapon choices are currently limited to any melee and ranged weapons you'd find in an ambitious fantasy RPG setting (read: you can find dual swords and grimoires but also gunblades), including an elemental magic system of water, fire, wind, earth, dark and light. Choose your weapon and, with your team, fight for the top spot!

As you begin to battle, you notice that the more you get hit, the more your physical body shows visceral reactions to the attacks. Outside of the game, you lose balance. Bruises appear out of nowhere and mar on your skin. You earn minor abrasions and bleed. It’s possible to feel the sweat or saliva of other players or bots, the sensation of their virtual hands grappling you, or their teeth sinking into your shoulder as they bite. It's a new, tantalizing world of virtual stimulation.

B  For those of you more interested in the glamour aspects of LmaO, you are welcome to compete against other players in either the in-game or a real glam-a-thon. Festive LmaO cosplayers will be scattered around the venue, dressed in colorful costumes of characters from the game, such as the ridiculously cool cyborg Kenji and the flirty immortal fox mage Yeri. As for the in-game contestants, they are located on a bright sparkling stage. Large monitors at PrismaPlace can be seen livestreaming everything.

Some of the many competitors are dressed in colorful gear, including stylish himations, risque chitons, and a bevy of glittery, neon gladiator sandals. Challenge other players to a fashion walk-off on the raised catwalk. Score high enough on either contests, and you will win an ultra-rare Firialia plump moose mount in-game. You are welcome to invite others on a scenic moose ride after as the plump moose very slowly waddles across the virtual snowfields and exhibits its adorable built-in feature where it decides to take a nap every few minutes.

[She'll come and join him soon enough, she's just got some kitchen preparations to do first. Thankfully the space between the countertop and the high cupboards lets her see him, so she doesn't have to do too much yelling from a secluded space. She's got a plastic butter tub in the sink where she carefully eases the flower plant, then claps the dirt from her fingers before washing her hands more thoroughly.]

So where are you from? What's your world like?

[She grins over her shoulder before she turns around, drying her hands on a cloth and bustling to dig out a kettle to fill it with hot water.]
personachords: As I lay down on my side (025)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-08 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He looks up and blinks a bit. ]

Oh I'm from Japan, Musutafu to be exact.

[ Little does he know but Musutafu is only a place in his world. ]

So I guess you could say...Earth? Anyways, I come from a place where everyone is born with powers called quirks. [ He shrugs a bit. ] And some use those quirks to become professional Heroes.
leekspins: (Surprised)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-08 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha ha, me too! A suburb of Tokyo!

[She listens with curiosity, glancing up at him now and then as she sets the kettle on the stove to boil, moving to the cake to start assembling it. Orihime stops short, however, at the mention of quirks.]

I heard someone else here talk about quirks, he's our age.

[While she would ordinarily never ask if he just happens to know some other random person his planet, she's noticed that this place tends to draw groups of people who know one another in some fashion. So it's worth asking, he might find it reassuring too.]

Do you know Neito Monoma?
personachords: I guess I'll sleep when I am… (030)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-08 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[ The familiar name has Shinsou's eyes widen. That is a very familiar name, seeing as he was one of the two blondes who had tried to make friends with him while he had been training with both classes.

Even after he said he hadn't been there to make friends the guy had all but told him his life story. ]

I do, we go to the same school. He's here then?
leekspins: (Having fun)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-08 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! He's a friend of mine! It sounds like he's your friend too.

[That's wonderful news! It's a little awkward finding out people you know are on the same world where you're expected to hold hands and cuddle relentlessly to keep alive, but there's something kind of reassuring too, since everyone is in the same boat.]

He's smart, and really adaptable. I just met him last month!

[She sets to frosting the cake layers, beaming from ear to ear.]

So...that means you're training to be a superhero too, ne?
personachords: I am bouncing off these walls (026)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-08 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Smart and adaptable...yeah I guess.

[ He has to chuckle a bit thinking about how the other teen had been when it came to his 'rival' class. But also she was right, the way he had talked about himself and both of their powers should a certain level of intelligence as well as the adaptability with the nature of his powers. Even to go so far as to show Shinsou a little truth about his own powers. ]

Yeah, but we're not in the same classes. I'm not even in the hero courses....yet.

[ He would be though, even if he had to work himself half to death. He would become a hero. He'd prove everyone wrong. ]

Also I'm not so sure as to call us friends...we met at a joint training session between the two hero courses and myself. We were on a team together.

[ Though of all of the people he worked with that day...Monoma was probably one of the closest to actually getting him to warm up to them. Even if it was just a bit to help with the teamwork. ]
leekspins: (Eeeeee?)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-08 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[The slap of frosting from her butter knife slows for a moment as she regards him curiously. A school for superheroes doesn't have every single class revolve around heroism? Is he learning the importance of math? Either way, that's kind of a bummer, the school sounds way less cool now.]

Oh, I see. Well...maybe you'll have a chance to grow closer here. And there are lots of opportunities for training, too.

[Urahra might be willing to train Shinsou along with Orihime, if anything just for the sake of curiosity.]

What kind of power do you have?
personachords: And realizing that (017)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-08 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[ At the mention of training he nods. He didn't want to fall behind after all. And training with Monoma could be good, especially if the guy stole his own power. How would that battle of wills go? Who would win?

However when she asks about his quirk he sort of tenses up. Well, time to see how someone here would react. ]

I can control peoples minds. But only if they respond to me verbally.
leekspins: (Surprised - A Little)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-08 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, really?

[She blinks, and sets down the knife, silent for a moment as her expression grows thoughtful.]

So...if you told me to do a running backflip off of the wall...I'd be able to do it just because you said so?

[He said he was training to be a hero, so naturally, her assumption is that he can empower others to do things they might not be trained to do in an ordinary situation.]
personachords: Internal clock in smithereens (021)

omg I love this thread so much

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-08 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, and...it could be possible. I've never really tried anything quite that extreme.

[ He had honestly never thought about the possibly of using his powers to boost someone instead of just controlling them. It was...interesting. Imagine that, someone not from his world understanding just what good he could do with his powers more than people who actually knew him. ]

I can't make anyone do things that require higher brain functioning tho, things like writing down names from memory. ]
leekspins: (But whyyyyyy?)

Me too, thank you so much for indulging her!

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-08 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh...then I guess you couldn't tell someone to fly, or shoot laser beams out of their eyes, if they couldn't do that already.

[She folds her arms with a sigh, because she absolutely would have asked him to do just that.]

Being able to do a flip would still be really cool, though. Feel free to try it out on me if you want to!

[She'll just make sure to take off her shoes first so the wall doesn't get dirty.]

I've got powers too. They're not common where I'm from, though, so it's really exciting to meet so many people who can do cool things like that! We could train together, if you want. It'd be fun!
personachords: Unprovoked assaulting (012)

Not a problem! If/when he gets in I'd love to actually keep this cr

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-09 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
[ Her offer has Shinsou's eyes practically become dinner plates.

No one had ever him to 'feel free' to use his powers on them.

Who was this girl? ]

Wait...sorry. What? Did...

Did you just tell me to feel free to use my powers on you?

[ He's too shocked to focus on her talking about her own powers and the idea of training right now. He had to understand how she'd be so okay with it. ]
leekspins: (Pensive)

Same! I didn't get too far into MHA, but I loved Shinsou's character!

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-09 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Sure!

[Er...was that the wrong response? He sure looks surprised. Maybe she should explain it a little more. Picking up the second of the three cake layers, she carefully sandwiches it onto the first, before scooping up more of the filling.]

I mean, if you don't get to exercise your abilities, they won't get stronger. And you're a nice person. Most people would have been mad at me about the plant, fewer still would have helped me clean it up. So I can tell you're someone I can trust with that kind of thing.
personachords: And realizing that (017)

He is a good boy, also I got maybe 40 eps into Bleach....like 10 years ago LMAO

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-09 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
[ Shinsou continues to stare at Orihime, shocked. It takes him a moment to actually get any words out. ]

You are way too trusting.

[ He meant it as a good thing! But there was a part of him that sort of saw a resemblance to a certain green haired wannabe hero he knew. Always encouraging others and giving them the benefit of the doubt. ]

But, thank you. Most people just say my quirk is more suited for a villain. I want to be a hero, more than anything, because of those people.
leekspins: (Serious Gaze)

Early Bleach is honestly Best Bleach, so!

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-09 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
...You?

[He's not a villain. She's been around villains before, and he definitely isn't exhibiting any of the signs that would make her think twice before making that kind of answer. In fact, she's honestly a little mad that people would have said something like that. Then again...]

People told me that my powers weren't something any human should have either. That I was a monster. So I guess maybe it's a little easier to understand that abilities don't really define how good or bad a person is.

[She lifts her head, fixing him with a fairly serious look.]

I think your powers are wonderful for a hero. Not only can you defeat a villain with them, you can even do it without violence. Civilians can't get hurt if you tell someone to give up and get arrested peacefully. I guess they just watch too much TV...the really flashy powers with lots of explosions tend to be the ones that make an episode exciting. But in the real world, exciting things can get people hurt. So I like your quirk a lot.
personachords: I am bouncing off these walls (026)

Orihime...you are going to break this poor boy

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-09 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
[ He's completely silent as he listened to her. It's shocking but also he can't help the small smile that comes to his lips hearing it. He scratches at the nape of his neck and relaxes. ]

Thanks...

[ Wait...people had called her a monster? He may have only just met her but Orihime seemed further than anyone from a monster. He narrows his eyes before cocking his head to one side. ]

What are your powers then?
leekspins: (Touched)

BWAH HA HA HA HA!

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-09 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Seeing the stiff set of his shoulders ease up, Orihime smiles. She can't imagine how hard that must be to deal with. Having a select set of people judge her for her powers is a lot different than being judged by all of her peers and teachers, and the public at large. Hopefully they'll realize the same things she does. Perhaps they will in time.]

[She fits on the third layer as she explains.]

It's a little complex! I can summon six spirits...they're kind of like manifestations of parts of my soul, I suppose? But they have their own personalities, and they combine to do different things. I can make a shield that doesn't break...split monsters in two...and heal. It's the last one that scares people.

[She applies a thin coating of the mousse to soak up the crumbs before she starts frosting in earnest.]

Actually it's not really healing, but it's easier to explain it that way when people want to know what you can do. It's more like...rejecting the effects of an event, as though it never really happened. Even if someone's arm is cut off...or if someone is blown to pieces...I can reverse that. So I guess it's more like time manipulation in a limited space.

[Her voice is calm as she explains, but she does steal a quick peek from beneath her lashes to see how he reacts. He's been honest with her, and since he comes from a world where powers (or 'quirks') are the norm, she'll take the time to go into more detail than she normally would. But she has no idea if he'll find her powers interesting, or abhorrent. It's been called 'the ability to reject the will of God' so really, it's a coin flip to see what he thinks.]
personachords: I am bouncing off these walls (026)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-09 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
[ Shinsou is amazed if he's honest. Being who he is he can understand why people might be afraid but he wasn't. He stands to move and sit on the arm of the couch, figuring they were probably past the awkward polite formalities, seeing as they just shared things about one another that many might be afraid of hearing.

He rests both hands on his raised leg and leans forward. ]

That's not really that scary, if anything it's amazing. The ability to do something like that? It's unreal. The closest I know of to that is the nurse at our school, she's called Recovery Girl but she's actually really old, she can heal people by kissing them. Though she basically has to use the persons own energy so it drains them too.

[ It really was the only thing he could think of that was even remotely similar and yet still not at all. ]
leekspins: (Gratitude)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-09 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks.

[Her smile is wry, but it's genuine. More genuine than her usually cheery demeanor she presents when interacting with people. It always feels nice to be accepted.]

I mean it. Thank you. It's kind of nice, being able to talk about things like this.

[Maybe that's what scares people...the fact that she doesn't really seem to have found her limits just yet. Even if someone has died, she can fix that. All she knows is that she has to have at least a particle of the person in question to restore them.]

There's a man from my world, named Kisuke Urahara. He trained several of my friends, and he said he'd train me too. If you like, I could introduce you to him. He might be able to help you too.
personachords: It's the same each and every night (Default)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-09 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome and, it is. Could be interesting, the training I mean. He got a strong will you think? I've been meaning to see if people can break out of it and if so get better at keeping those sort of people under.

[ Standing up he moves over to the counter space between the two and leans on it, craning his neck to see how the cake is coming along. ]

Do you like baking? What'd you make a cake for?
leekspins: (Ha ha oh gosh!)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-09 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
I think if anyone could, it'd probably be him.

[A former shinigami captain, and a brilliant scientist to boot? She's sure he could test Shinsou's limits, absolutely.]

I'll try too. I think my powers rely on my own willpower, so it might be good to practice improving it.

[Tsubaki told her that her attacks were weak and slow because she lacked killing intent. And she noticed that her shield tended to crack when she was under a lot of emotional duress. She pushes her thoughts away as he approaches, brightening.]

Mm! I love it! I always wanted to open a cake shop of my own someday. People don't really like my cooking much, ha ha...! But my baking is pretty good.

[She rubs the back of her neck sheepishly.]

I'm actually not very good at generating chroma, so I was trying to figure out what kind of job I should get. I have a friend teaching me to knit, and I can sew pretty well, so I thought about altering clothing for people when their moonblessing transformations hit. But there are a lot of good tailors and seamstresses, so...maybe not that one. I have plenty of time to figure it out, though! What about you? Do you want to help me decorate it?
personachords: As I lay down on my side (025)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-09 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
[ Shinsou nodded to the idea of training with Orihime, he had a feeling that she could give him a run for his money. Something that could be interesting.

He watches her looking a bit confused as Orihima talked about not knowing what sort of job to get. ]

I would think it was obvious...do what you love. Find a bakery to work at or something.
leekspins: (Five Lives)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-09 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Ha ha...! Maybe I will! There are a lot of things I love doing, so...I want to make sure I choose the best option. Or maybe I'll just work at a bunch of different jobs to try them all!

[Teaching, exploring, baking, maybe even gardening! Once she stops dropping plants on people's heads of course.]

I thought about applying at the hospital, but I wasn't too sure how well I'd be received by doctors that went to school for years and trained really hard. Plus moonlacing heals most injuries anyway, even poisoning. So I guess that's something to keep in mind if you need help and you can't get to me for some reason.
personachords: As I focus on the clock (027)

[personal profile] personachords 2019-12-09 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like it. I'm sure you'll figure something out.

[ He chuckles, actually smiling. ]

Ah...right. Moonlacing.

[ that was something he wasn't...really sure about. ]

that is..interesting. Not sure how well I'm going to be with it, not exactly the most touchy person.

[ He shrugs as he watches her work on the cate, definitely looks appetizing. ]
leekspins: (Bakery)

[personal profile] leekspins 2019-12-09 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Me either. I worry about other people's personal boundaries. What if they don't want to be touched? Or maybe they do, just not by me! It's a little awkward, ha ha!

[She slathers on the mousse liberally now, then turns the plate while skimming the flat of the blade along the side for a nice even coat.]

But it gets easier because everyone else needs chroma too, so people tend to be pretty understanding. Have you tried it yet? It feels kind of nice!
